If it's a must, meaning if you don't take them, you'd suffer from uncontrollable depression or something along the lines; then it is advised that you take them according to the prescription and time stated.
But make sure to take note of how many days you've failed in fulfilling your fasting duties during the month of Ramadhan and then later own it up by fasting the same amount of days afterwards.
But like Lost said, if you're true to your roots and have a high ambition to proceed in completing that one month of Ramadhan, you might actually have the sheer will power to do so. Complete the fast and take your meds after breaking the fast - everyday routine. It's all in the mind whether you can or can not.
Good luck!

salam and if you fast and eat this stuff, then your fast breaks and that is why the prophet and ALLAH had allowed you not to fast and to make up for it after ramadhan. wasalam and ALLAH knows best.

Try learn not to take depression pills. Depression pills has bad cause and effect. Like... Lost of appetite.
Sometimes, pills is not always the answer. Try to consult more and know what your problem is. You don't need pills to make yourself happy, you don't need pills to recover from depression.
You just need someone who you can talk, and you need try to learn how to coop with life while recover from depress.
Mind to share what's your problem?

As someone else who takes anti-depressants, I know the concern. If you just drop them for a couple of days there are horrible side effects! eek
While it is true that not everything needs treatment, there has been proven chemical deficiancies in the brain that require medication.
It is said in the Qur'an that the sick are exempted from the fast. Though, unless your meds require food during the light hours, it shouldn't be an issue.

Alsalamu Alaykum ~
Well, If the fasting person is in need of using such a medicine during the day, in the same way a patient is in need of taking a medicine (either drinking or eating it) he is allowed to break the fast, and make up for each day he broke the fast in; & It breakes the fast because this is a solution that reaches the throat, and therefore it will undoubtedly reach the stomach.
Wasalam ~

Anti-depressants are not good to take. They can make things worse than they are and have awfull side effects if you stay on them long enough.

I agree biggrin By the way, there are happy pills? I NEED THEM! heheh, don't thake it... It's like drugs... It's not good for u. Use other dawwa, not happy pills. Eat/drink something near you. Instead of eating a apple sprayed with poison, eat from ur garden.... Happy pills, i dunno much about. But i heard it does make it worser.
