Ukene was lazing about, thoroughly relaxed for once. Usually she had a dozen different things going on (at least in her head), but today, today was pure relaxation. Hopefully, unless the pride was attacked by a horde of angry hippos or somesuch, but she was fairly certain that that wasn't going to happen - and anyway, the Guards had to be equipped to deal with those sort of situations, right? So today was for relaxation only, not angry hippos or catastrophic events.

Utunzo had finished everything he needed to do and their mother, Unyenyezi, was napping near her den so she didn't need his help with anything either. The young lion wasn't sure what to do besides find somewhere relaxing to do likewise - he'd memorized the family tree Zizi had last set him easily. So he wandered for a while, looking to find somewhere to flop...when he spotted his sister. "Hello Ukene!" He called and headed over.

"Utunzo!" His sister beamed happily at the sight of the newcomer; what joy! It seemed they were always so busy these days and truthfully it'd been a while since she'd been able to spend any amount of time with either of her siblings, let alone both of them at the same time. This really was a good day!
"What're you doing? Did Mom let you off?" She frowned slightly in thought, "Waaait, you didn't run off, did you?" That totally didn't seem like her brother (who was much, much more responsible than she was - but then again, most lions qualified as 'more responsible than Ukene', anyway) but it didn't hurt to check. Except when it did. But she didn't think it'd hurt this time, 'cause he was like.. her best brother. And only.

"I finished everything she set for me to learn and she's nodded off for an afternoon nap...so I'm free to do whatever I fancy for now." He smiled like it was a joke - to him it was sort of funny, since he was pretty boring and knew it. His first reaction to having free time had been to find somewhere to nap after all. Zo would never have even thought of running off from his apprentice lessons.
"How's everything with you?" He sat down, tail curling round by his side.

"It's good, it's good." She nodded along to her own words, woefully short on interesting news to divulge, at least when it came to her own (not made up) life.
"Have you seen Upenzi around?" Ukene yawned lazily and curled into her brother's side, thoroughly relaxed by the sun and good company. "'cause I like, haven't, and I know she's probably around somewhere, but there's just this part of me that keeps thinking she's been kidnapped by rhinos."

"No rhinos as far as I know." He huffed out some air, in amusement, not quite a chuckle but those who knew him knew that's what it was. A quite sort of laugh. He relaxed and rested dozily against his sister.
"I think Upenzi's just been busy. Feels like everyone's been busy lately. Mama's working herself ragged with all the records... she's forgotton some of the older families and it's annoying her that she's having to relearn it."

Well, that was good to know. Ukene made a note to keep an eye out for any small ways she could help her sister out in the near future.
"She forgot something?" The young lioness raised her head to stare quizzically at Utunzo. "Mom?" Sure, their Mom was a bit absentminded at times, but never about work - that was more of an Ukene-like thing. Zizi had always been very gung-ho about her work, as far as her daughter knew.
