A lot of people have said this sparked their furry interests so I decided to check it out and if anyone else would like to watch it.

I'd have to admit there is alot of political incorrectness.

"A woman thief? UNHEARD OF!"

(And quite violent)
"SLICE HER TO PIECES!!!"

Considering that 1) this was made in the 70's, and 2) it's actually SET in the 1400s, these don't seem to be outrageous things to hear.

I could be used to show women can do things just like any man... But it might be very subtle or just not the case.

It's probably just because it was made to reflect a different time without getting too realistic. Given this was after the 60s, I doubt they could go over the top with chauvinism and gendered roles. It just wouldn't have flown with a lot of people.

i wasn't saying it like it was bad. I used to watch it a ton and even now, it's always fun to go back and watch all the older disney movies.

My fiancé got it for me on DVD for. . . Valentine's Day, I think it was. It's one of my absolute favorites. ♥ ♥

Kinda sucks though, gives off the whole idea that if you're a Rhino, you have to be a guard, if you're an elephant you have to be trumpeter.

Every now and then, when I am happy, I just start singing "oodalolly oodalolly golly what a day." whee

Disney's Robin Hood is not what got me into furry, I had seen my share of funny animal cartoons before hand. It is just one of many fond childhood memories, along with pretty much every Disney movie up to The Lion King. heart

The Lion King will forever be my favorite Disney flim.

I second this. heart The Lion King is what got me into liking anthro characters, and wanting to make them. Even though my art was never that good. ^^;

i recently watched it agai after having watched it a long time ago as a kid.
i forgot how funny the voices sound now.

in this day and age, voices for those kind of characters are exaggerated and weird, where as back then there was less stress on making them sound silly so they had more human like voices.
