 ((Note: Play spar, not an official duel. Just training for Ursa.))
It was slow. For once her father was not on patrol duty and she needed desperately to take her mind off of her latest problem for a while. It had been a good while since their last spar, so this seemed the perfect solution to both problems.
She stood before the looming figure of her father, sure that even when she reached her full size she would not be able to size up to his height and bulk. He had gone from a tiny thing as a cub to the "brute" before her now, not that she knew that. To her Kadogo had always been larger than life, as it should be since he was her father.
For the moment, though, he was both teacher and opponent in their little sparring session. Her tail thrashed calmly behind her momentarily, thinking her father might make the first move as he so often did, and she wanted to get the jump on him.
No surprise, then, when she took the initiative and bounded forward, lashing out suddenly.
Unfortunately a frontal attack was no good on her father, and her paws struck empty air as he nimbly dodged and she staggered past.

As Ursa more or less sailed past he took his chance. Her side was completely exposed, and he used that to his advantage as he slammed his weight into her, hard enough to send her crashing to the sand and rock.
"Trying the unexpected, good choice, but your execution and your timing are both all wrong."
He stood in front of her, naturally towering. She didn't seem to be entirely with it at the moment, and he wondered just why that was. Did it have to do with a boy? It seemed the only conclusion his mind could jump to with the pride at a momentary peace, yet perhaps it was something else. A fight with a sibling or friend?
