Americans first demand that the president speaks out. Then when nothing changes, "we" expect the president to interfere.

It's happened before.

America isn't in the position to save the world at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for America helping in world peace-- but not when it's self destructive. I feel that involving America in this situation, in the long run, will get us in a deep hole that we, again, have to dig ourselves out of. We aren't ready to do this (again) yet."
