I think I'm unusual for a girl in that I love war movies. My favorite is Gallipoli. Anyone else seen it? It's about Australian soldiers in WWI.
What's your favorite war movie?

Not really one for just straight war films, find them a bit... underwhelming? Probably the wrong word to use, but I prefer a few giant robots or lasers thrown into the mix.

Not mad on war films but probably, To Be Or Not To Be. Very funny. Love a Lubitsch film.

Defiance is my favorite war movie. It stars Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber, and it's based off the true story of the Bielski brothers. The Bielski brothers were Jews that hid in the forest of Belorussia during WWII. They built a camp there, and 1200+ Jews survived. It's an awesome, action-packed movie that has it's...I don't want to say sensitive or touching moments, but that's what they kind of are...
Anyway, the Bielski Otriad -- and the Red Army -- were fighting the Germans by sabotaging communications, blowing up trains full of supplies, and killing off patrols. They helped contribute to the downfall of Hitler and the Nazis.
