Story Enable

I had this sim who was preggers, didn't even get to the first baby bump. I had the story enabling off (installed patch) and switched to another family. I was gossiping with said family and found out my pregger sim had had her baby.... that wasn't suppose to happen!

So maybe the story enabling feature doesn't work wih pregnant sims.

The game seems to, unfortunately, be inherantly buggy. From what I've read it's even possible for males to get pregnant without any mods, hacks, file alterations or anything. They become a disembodied head during the process then get their bodies back after they give birth.

Maybe the game can't keep track of how far gone a Sim is when you aren't playing their lot so it just skips to the end?

Maybe... I know I won't leave any sim preggers when I switch now, lol.

Okay... the patch didn't even work...
My sims still advance in thier carears without me playing them at all....
Guess I'll have to get used to that...
I like how everyone ages together though.

As far as I understand it is a feature whether story mode is on or off that Sims can gain promotions. I'm not 100% certain about that though.

I have also recently found by reading at MATY that the whole 'pregnant Sims that aren't played giving birth way too soon' is also by design. AwesomeMod has an option to force regular pregnancy duration on all Sims whether you play them or not.

The whole promotion thing is part of the game. It even goes as far as giving an unemployed sim a job. -_-

That stinks. I only find it easy to play when I have different "saved games" and none of my sims are in the same neighborhood. Which sucks.
