A sigh escaped from the leopon's lips as she made her way through the vegetation and to the river's edge. Her tan colored eyes carefully surveyed the area around her before she stepped from the shade of the trees and into the sunlight. She couldn't help but squint as she looked up at the sky before back at the water's surface.
A smile spread across her lips as she took a step forward. This was her favorite time of day, it was simply serene and comforting. Here she had nothing to worry about, it was later in the afternoon when the sun was still high in the sky.
There was still plenty of time to do things required of her as a huntress, but there was also time for her to spend by herself. She felt that she was able to relax more away from her family and other pride members.
Sometimes she couldn't help but feel like she was trapped, even if it was her own fault.
