Tournament Plot
Introduction
Welcome, one and all, to the day you’ve all been waiting for! Please, let me introduce the mighty warriors who will be fighting it out in the arena. These eager young lions and lionesses have something to prove! Strength. Endurance. Intelligence. A true warrior must have all of these traits and more! From one of these prodigious competitors will rise a true champion; a gladiator who will carry his or her title until someone strong enough rises to the challenge. This is not a tournament for the weak of heart. There will be blood. There will be tears. So, to all of you, I wish a sound good luck!
Rules and Regulations Registering: - Please register your character by posting the form in this thread - You may only enter one of your characters into the tournament - Places are not yet restricted but there must be an even number of contestants so that all characters can be paired up - All participants must be adult or adolescent to register their place - Huria, elders and pregnant members are not permitted to register Tournament Process: - The tournament will be formed of a number of different stages depending on how many participants there are. Example: The qualifying round, the quarter final, the semi final and the final. The winner must fight and win all of his/her stages to be proclaimed the winner. - Fighting partners in the qualifying round will be chosen at random - RPs will be set up by the moderators (Mimsey, Kimaria and DFA) and links to these can be found in this plot sub-forum. - If a fighter fails to post within the scheduled posting time (a week) their character is forfeited from the tournament and – if possible – replaced by a reserve. In the case of a reserve taking the others place, the RP will be started afresh.
Battling: RPing the duel: - To make things quicker, each person will roll all five of their four-sided dice in their first post. This will help the duel flow a little easier and hopefully speed things up. - Please note that in the tournament, we are allowing characters to roll numbers from 1-4 - The duel should then have five posts from each RPer playing out the battle (10 in total)
- A roll of: 1 = miss / failed attack 2 = bide 3 = a hit / successful attack 4 = a big attack
- A duel is deemed complete when each RPer has posted their five posts with the appropriate responses.
- Winners of the duel will be moved onto the next round and so on and so on until the final round.
Determining the winner of a duel:
The winner of the duel is the character with the highest total when all numbers from the randomised moves are added together. So, for instance: Ea: 1st roll: 1 2nd roll: 3 3rd roll: 4 4th roll: 3 5th roll: 2 TOTAL: 13 Fia: 1st roll: 4 2nd roll: 2 3rd roll: 3 4th roll: 1 5th roll: 1 TOTAL: 11
So, in this example you can see that Ea is the winner.
Please note that duels are done in good spirits and no firekin is to be seriously harmed during the tournament.
