Why? Becuase Marcus and Didyme (his wife AND aro's own sister) got married shortly, and decided to quit the volturi. Aro wanted Marcus to stay in the volturi because of his special gift of telling relationships, and didyme was pretty useless...so aro killed Marcus'wife/his own sister. So, yeah, that's another thing. Marcus WAS Aro's brother in law...

So Aro's grown on me, and I absolutely adore the casting for Alec, Jane, and Caius but... MARCUS!! I love Marcus, and I pictured him as, well, being much younger then that not to mention drop-dead sexy, but that's the fangirl in me coming out, so I still don't like the casting. But hey, I'm not going to complain too much cause I get to stare at Taylor the entire movie through (only real reason I'm going to see it).
