So, I just bought a Mossberg 500 Persuader. Now, the only real complaint I ever hear about it is that the safety could be problematic.

So, I know it's really easy to remove the AR-15's safety. But how would I remove the safety from a Mossberg?

Trigger is my safety.

Does the safety automatically come on?

If it doesn't, can't you just leave it to "off" and not mess with it?

It does not. However, I like to know how I could remove safeties.

It depends on how integrated the safety is.

Okay, so, checking the internets, they suggest drilling out the ******** up screw that holds the safety in from the outside.

Upon disassembly, though, I discovered that the safety engages a small piece of metal by allowing it to raise when the trigger is squeezed. it's about a centimeter tall with a cross-section of two mm. Now, the problem with removing that is that the external parts of the safety will still be there- false sense of security moar than usual. Also, it's not easily reversible.

Getting a new screw is easier than rebuilding the entire trigger assembly.
