Oh, yes, she still had anxieties now and then. But the longer they were together, the more the ebony lioness realized that he didn't regret his words. He wasn't going to grow tired of her company, wasn't going to change his mind and leave the Nchi'mahadhi on a whim. Any insecurity she felt about other females was strangely obsolete. . . . being a worrier it occurred to her she might lose his love someday. But if that were to happen, the lioness knew she couldn't begrudge him his happiness and furthermore she trusted him implicetely. He had been her best-friend of years and she knew he wouldn't be so careless with her heart.
He was her best-friend and she knew that he had eyes only for her, regardless how many other single lionesses or ladies he might meet. It wasn't something she questioned or needed to ask him about; she just felt such trust and had no reason to doubt. It was Intuthu after all. . . and no lion was quite as wonderful as he.
Some said their relationship was new, that the love she felt now would waver with time and the rose-coloured glasses she wore would fade. But Jumuu didn't believe it or care. . . She could finally express her feelings freely for the most part. She could cuddle up with him at night, gaze up at the stars and not have to yearn for him to return to her. . . He was with her, for now and for always and it felt oh-so-right.
Dusk was fast approaching, stars beginning to twinkle over head. The sun had fallen, leaving only an orange-glow in its wake. Jumuu had been out hunting late, her fairly-new position also a perk. She wasn't just any huntress, she had been promoted to one of the three heads and worked even closer with Binafsi. Though she enjoyed the fact that her skills were honed enough for her to be considered talanted enough to help lead in kills, it also meant she occasionally had to track later and farther than she was accustomed. Though they hadn't been successful this evening, Jumuu was certain they would fell something in the morning.
For now though, she wanted nothing more than to find that familiar white and crimson maned giant. . . . Sniffing the air and peering at the tracks in the dim evening light, Jumuu was ready to hunt a new type of prey. Moving like a shadow, she trailed Intuthu happily, ready to strike at the first sign of him.

Intuthu had decided today was the day to perfect the word laziness. He had been lazy all day, he hadn't hunted that much as there wasn't all that much to hunt and today he felt like being lazy and not doing much. He deserved to be lazy, yes he did!
He had lived in the pride for a while now, the ground he had adapted to, life in general he had gotten use to and Jumuu well he hadn't got use to her. He still woke up in surprise to see her beautiful body laying there beside him and he would lay there drinking in her scent and beauty. Oh how she was the most amazing creature on earth!
He laid on the grass on his side with a stupidly large smile on his maw.
Jumuu....
cubs...
Perfection.
Yes his dreams had been filled with the same thing for a few nights now. Watching their cubs running around them though of course they all looked like Jumuu, so beautiful, so gorgeous, so mmm Jumuu...
She wouldn't stay out of his head and he loved it. Every moment of everyday was her. She made life worth living and it made him the happiest lion on earth.

A little tracking and the lioness found the source of her joy and happiness. His white form was easy to pick out; many within the pride were of natural dusty coloured coats, aside from the rich red coats of Mawi's children or the bright green of her mothers. But pure white with crimson belonged only to Intuthu. . .
Dropping low, glad that she was upwind and without her shakers this evening, it didn't take long for her to assess the situation. He was alone, no others were near; furthermore, he seemed lost in his own little world, without notice of anyones presence. That worked out for her. . .
One step. . . .two . . . slowly, ever so slowly, she wriggled her rear as she flexed her muscles. There wasn't much but a few rocks and grasses to hide behind but it was enough. Golden eyes boring in to her 'prey', the female suddenly made her move. Quick as lightening, she came bowling out of no where, taking a flying leap to pounce and tackle her friend.
"Found you~!" She triumphantly cried, eyes bright with amusement and her entire body language screaming her playful mood and nature. She was tired from all the tracking and hunting of earlier, but Intuthu always lifted her spirits and put her in a very good mood.

Intuthu smiled and laughed as he was caught by his beautiful mate.
"It seems you have. Good hunting?" He could tell she was playful but he really couldn't be bothered at the moment - yes he was being lazy and he seemed to enjoy it! Being lazy was rather good and perfecting it was even better. So she was going to get normal conversation!
"Caught lots?" He wondered how much it would annoy her if he pretended to completely ignore her playful gestures. He would give in eventually - just not yet.

It didn't bother or upset the ebony lioness that her mate couldn't be encouraged to play. In fact, she was more than content to just lounge with him, especially after such a long day on the hunt! Settling, partially sprawled over him, she took a few moments to groom some of his crimson mane and ears before answering. "Good hunting now," she mused, pleased that her current prey wasn't putting up much of a struggle. "But otherwise we tracked most of the day. Tomorrow we should be returning with quite the feast!" The game that they had decided upon was big game; but assuming all the hunters did as they had planned, there would be well enough meat for the entire pride!
Patience, after all. . . .
"We decided not to rush anything, especially as they were quite aware of our presence. Considering we found some new game trails, expect to eat well tomorrow." Stifling a yawn, the ebony lioness cuddled up to her large and fluffy love. Strange how a chance meeting so many years previous had lead to such feelings as love and tenderness. She really had come a long way since her fearful and anxiety-filled beginnings. . . .
"What about you? Do anything of interest while I was away?" Purring lightly in her throat, she resumed grooming Intuthu, anxious to hear about his day.

"Sounds good to me. I do like some food." He smiled at her as she did what she wished to him. He was more then happy to allow her to groom him or whatever it was she liked to do. At least she was there with him and he couldn't ask for more then that.
"What did I do? Well... where to start?" He chuckled a little wondering how much to wind her up.
"I started with meeting this girl... she was AMAZING and really best day ever though apparently now she is pregnant - which I thought happened a bit quick... its all very confusing." He smirked a little while he spoke just to make sure she didn't take it too seriously but he couldn't resist anyhow.
"Though it did make me wonder that maybe we should have cubs and then I will have two litters running around which would obviously be awesome." Yep it would. He chuckled to himself though obviously if they had cubs he would only have one litter but still... he did love to wind her up.

Content upon her lugg-of-a-mate, the lioness listened to his day. She was in mid-lick when she paused, ears going forward the moment he spoke about some other girl. Peeking around his shoulder to peer at him, she knew he was kidding of course, the lioness gave a small snort and grin. "Oh, I see how it is. You get to become a player the moment I step off of pride territory. . . ."
Purposely standing a top of him, making sure to put her all weight on him as punishment, she slid off and trotted around to face him. Pawing ever so lightly at his face, she gave a mock-growl in her throat, tail twitching. "Well let me make things perfectly clear that I am not a lioness who is going to share." She trusted Intuthu implicitly, and was fast learning that there was little the great lion could do to upset her. He was affectionate and playful and respectful of the times she needed alone, just as she gave him his space and did her best to abide by his wishes. They were not just mates but friends, best-friends, and that made everything perfect, at least in Jumuu's world.
Forehead pressed against his own, she stared at him as he spoke of having cubs. . . For one moment she assumed he was speaking in jest. On the other hand, she wondered if he were serious. Cubs . . . to have a litter all her own. . . Falling quiet, saying nothing as she let the thought permeate, Jumuu honestly didn't know what to say! Was she ready to be a mother, Inthuthu a father? Would she even make a good mother~!? Motherhood was something the lioness wasn't entirely sure of, as her anxiety caused her fear; having cubs was a great responsibility . . . but at the same rate, a blessing as well.
She'd seen Binafsi's litters, as well as Mawi Mai's and other lionesses of the pride. She did adore the little ones, and had always hoped that someday she too might get a family to call her own. But now that she'd been happily settled with Intuthu, she had forgotten about her curious joy for cubs. Smiling lightly, golden eyes bright, she added coyly but carefully, "Well if cubs is what you wish, we'd best do something about it. I don't want another lioness' brood to outshine my own." She kept a small amount of jest within her words, though she was also serious; this way if Intuthu was only speaking in play, she could easily brush the 'threat' off with a laugh. If he was serious though. . .well. . . she was just as serious back.
A family. . . .Ooooh, if she ever wound up pregnant she'd certainly have to talk to Mawi Mai or her mother or Binafsi for advice BUT . . . . their life was perfect, but to raise a litter and see them grow could only be a blessing. Not just mates, but then they'd be a real family together.

Intuthu chuckled. He loved to mess with her, especially as most of the time she realised he was only messing.
"You know your getting heavy... you better not be having some other guys cubs!" He chuckled again, teasing again.
He then watched as she moved about and leant her head against his. Oh how he adored being close to her. The smell of her was amazing and his thoughts were suddenly very full of baby making and so at her words he jumped up.
"Well we shouldn't really waste any time then should we?" He had a sort of cheeky smile on his face. His eyes were lusting after her, it was obvious to see and well what male didn't want to have his mate? As she wanted cubs it meant he could have her lots while making cubs. Seemed like a perfect plan for him!

Jumuu wasn't expecting to be pounced upon. With how comfortable and content her mate had been lounging upon the grasses, she hadn't expected him to move so suddenly or so swiftly! Furthermore, he was much larger than she which meant she had little chance of escape!
Squirming slightly, she pressed her hind paws against his stomach and gave a weak-willed attempt to get away. Her golden eyes had been rather wide with surprise, especially with how swiftly his mood had changed. From lethargic and teasing to now something borderline filled with lust!
Not that she minded, of course, but . . . .but still! Intuthu had most certainly caught her off guard.
"Well . . . N-n-no, we shouldn't," she confirmed, trying to find some semblance and clarity. Despite being truly comfortable around Intuthu, she was still rather shy, and certain topics were subject to her modesty and humility. "But at the same rate, why rush it. . . . So another lioness has your cubs, so long as you're here in the pride with me, I don't mind keeping you to myself." Ah-ha! Fake disinterest. . . though the purr in her throat and the gleam in her gaze belied her intentions clearly.

"Screw any other lioness.... you are mine and I am going to have you." He licked at her face, he wanted her, it was the most obvious thing in the world and she could tease him as much as she wanted, they had mentioned wanting cubs so might as well get on down with it.
Right here, right now.
She was his and she would eventually bear his cubs.

((*cough* We're gonna have to cut this RP short/fade to black soon, aren't we? ; P I don't think Intuthu is going to wait, ho snap. . .))
Jumuu could feel her ears burning and wanted to bury her face in his thick mane out of sheer embarrassment. Though she was quite comfortable and very proud of her mate, she still was a rather coy and shy creature and would always be ridiculously private. Just speaking of forming a possible family, while pleasant in idea, was still somewhat intimidating for the femme.
She had a lot of questions, from wondering if she was ready to be a mother or if she'd even make a good one at that! Oh, of course she had no doubts as Intuthu's role as a father, he'd be perfect she knew but . . . . well. . . . that didn't ease all her fears about herself. Her own mother, though she adored her, was quite busy and rather scarce. The same with her siblings and father. . .
Yes, they were in a very loving and devoted pride but. . . well. . . .that didn't mean she'd be a great mother. Cubs were a big responsibility and so much could go wrong. It wasn't something Jumuu wanted to rush, not at all, but at the same rate she knew that she'd probably never feel the time was right. Gazing down at her mate, getting a good luck of the lust that was dominating his expression, golden eyes went wide.
Unintentionally her little game, along with his teasing, was getting her in trouble. . . and if she wasn't careful he wasn't going to let her go. "Well then. . . .what better way to get your blood pumping than . . . . a game of chase!" He wasn't going to be happy, but the lioness was going to find somewhere a little more private, a little more reclusive than the open lands he had chosen to rest upon.
Bolting, but sparing only a second to peak behind her to make sure he was indeed following, the lioness made a bee-line back to their shared den. It was rather exciting, a prospect of starting a family, of hoping for cubs down the road. With luck they'd be blessed, but only the spirits knew when it would happen.

A game of chase?
Was she trying to infuriate him?
"Oi get back here!" He called after her. It took him a second to be on his paws running after her. He was going to get her and have his way with her and then she would carry his cubs and they would be the happiest family ever. Intuthu knew that his mate would make the perfect mother, she just needed to realise it and the best way for her to do that was to have her own cubs.
So he chased her and he knew he would catch her and then they would have the rest of the day and the night to themselves showing their love to each other in a rather intimate way.
