Chanda grumbled as she headed over the desert sands, in a foul mood. Still, ever since having that mess of eight, furry little trouble makers she couldn't help but feel her temper had improved quite a bit. Some what, though she still found herself angry at Aibisho whenever she thought back on it, and a little embaressed. She'd been both surprised and confused at all of the different looking cubs when they'd been born... she and Aibi were so close in looks that all of the markings did not make sense, and as far as she was aware his family held no markings on their blood. Even though her parents had been marked, her sisters were as plain as her. Maybe these things just skipped generations sometimes...two of her cubs even had blue eyes! Her thinking cut off as she felt a sharp swat at her tail and she jerked it away, glancing over her shoulder. "Canicus, what have I told you?" She growled softly, but she couldn't help the little pittering of her heart as she looked over something that she had created. With Aibisho... even though she would swear she wasn't in love with her mate she couldn't help these feelings every time!

"Ya said notta annoy momma when she wants alone time but papa said it was fine." His words were matter of fact and no amount of a scolding would turn him away as he offered up a cheeky grin to his mother. "Sides, the others are boring today, none of them feel like doing anything." Oh how he could whine when he wanted to!

When Zala had awoken, she saw her mother leaving the den, following shortly by her brother Canicus. She blinked, gazing around the den sleepily before rubbing her golden eyes. She couldn’t help but smirk to herself as she remembered the dream that went through her mind last night. Watching the fleeting forms of her mother and brother, the little female decided to follow them. After all, something could happen and she didn’t want to miss a thing. When she had caught up with the two, she stayed a ways back, straining her ears to hear what they said. Hearing her brother complain about ‘the others’ being ‘boring’ made Mzalia Moto’jivu scowl.

“Excuse me,” Zala snorted, making her presence now known by moving to the two family members. “I am not boring.” When she neared her mom, she sat, lifting her lip in a slight snarl at her brother.

Chanda had slowed her walk quite a bit when Canicus had begun to speak, ears flicking slightly. It was so hard to hear others traveling over the sand that she hadn't been aware of her daughter's pressence until a slight breeze had lazily drifted past and it'd only been confirmed when she'd looked over her shoulder to scold her son. She snorted and sat as her daughter defended herself against her son and sighed, glancing back toward the den. Couldn't they of stayed with their father?

"Are too, are too!" He growled out, hiding his surprise that she'd followed. The hell was that? It was going to be his time spend with mom! She was ruining it! He watched as she pranced right past and plopped down next to their mother, causing his small lip to curl as he trotted after her and suddenly went to tackle her. "You're so boring you wouldn't know excitement if it hit you in the backside!" He called out, loud and angry. He didn't always end his problems with fighting, but it seemed like a good idea right then.

Chanda's smile twitched as she glanced at the two and she chuckled softly, more to herself than to them. She wasn't about to break up the fight, fighting was good! As long as it didn't get too violent or blood was shed or something. This was not a duel, after all. Just a simple squabble between siblings... it seemed normal to her.

Zala couldn’t help but be taken aback when her brother had tackled her. She was half-expecting it as her siblings and she always manage to get into some scuffle. I wouldn’t say it was the ‘playful’ fights that normal cubs her age would get in to, but a more hidden drive that was masked behind it. “How can you call me boring,” she managed to say in between bites and scratches. “You’re the one who is always going off on your own,” for instance, like now, following mother, “so you wouldn’t know!” There was some sort of logic behind that comment, Zala knew. The red lioness pushed Canicus away for a moment, just to tackle him again. She wouldn’t let her older brother always get the upper hand on her
