This is a JOINT quest thread. 8] The family presented here is short 6 adult offspring, and we're MORE than happy to accept the concepts of others into it, if we like them! Aunts and uncles too! Just be aware that this family, except for one son and his mate and offspring with his mate, are part of the Peke Na, and have been since birth!

The Story of the Family

Featherpaw and Sunchase have been by each other's side for as long as they can remember. Their parents were close friends, and so they grew up together. And despite their differences, they loved one another so much, it couldn't be anything BUT Recognition. And when they had pups for the first time together...well, they weren't expecting the HUGE litter they got. ELEVEN PUPS?! Featherpaw would have been overwhelmed if she hadn't loved the little ones so dearly, and had Sunchase and the Pack beside her. Shortly after the pups were old enough to be running around without stumbling over their noses every two steps, their old friend, and the daughter of the Chief, decided to leave...to see the world outside the pack with her mate by her side.

Featherpaw and Sunchase weren't sure what lay out there, or if it was a good idea...but they followed, pups in tow. Things were good for a time...but after a few moon cycles, a simple tragedy happened to the family. Sunchase and Featherpaw's middle son Brightone was separated from the traveling group and lost. As time went on and they traveled on, the family kept eyes, ears, and nose open for the lost pup...and each time they thought they had something, the trail was cold.

They finally gave up as they came closer to returning to the pack. Brightone was gone, and nothing would return their precious pup to them. They only hoped he'd been able to reach adulthood, like his sibs. While Truthseeker and Risktaker returned to the pack, the family had to stay behind for a bit when illness came over a good deal of them. But they recovered, and now they trickle back into the pack, ready to rejoin their friends and family. But things have changed, and some old ties are gone...

But they will continue on, always knowing the Now is better than the Then.
