Has anyone else heard of or seen this great old black and white murder mystery.

What makes the movie so interesting to me is because the camera acts as the detective’s viewpoint. That is to say the cast always address the camera when speaking to our hero and the hero is only seen about three or four times throughout the movie. Once in the beginning when he is setting up the film, one or two times via his reflection in a window or mirror and at the very end of the movie when he wraps things up.

I always found that very original and neat. And, to my knowledge, no other movie has done this. If anyone knows of any other movie that’s done something like this please let me know. I’d love to check it out.
