I had the day (week actually) off from work so I went to my favorite hilly park and did a bunch of caching today. Out of 11 caches I had on my list I found 6.

Of the "No Finds" 1 was too small for me to find in all the underbrush.

1 has to be plain missing since the previous 5 guys couldn't find it either (including the Grand Master of local cachers).

1 I translated something in the riddle wrong and the next stage ended up being 46+ miles away.

1 had bad coordinated that had me going up and down a really steep hill so I got tired of looking for it.

And the last 1 I accidentally deleted from my GPSr while in the field and I didn't have a printout to put it back in.

All in all I did a bit over 5 miles when I finished my circuit of the park.

That's cool. Today I went out with my boyfriend and we found six. three at one park.

a bike trail one
one behind a cabin
and a micro riddle.

It was my first riddle cache.

I was going to go caching today too but my wife is in New York on business and missed her flight home. There are no more flights from there to Louisville, KY today so I have to wait to see if she takes another flight to either Cincinnati or Indianapolis then drive up to get her.

Oh well. If she goes to Cincinnati then I can at least repair a cache I have at a rest area on the way.

Well I ended up going to Cincinnati after all and I hit 3 caches at one rest area right outside the Louisville area. Then I repaired my broken cache at another rest area outside the Cincinnati area.

Kewl. You should try to come down to Bardstown, KY for the annual Octoberfest camp-in at Windy Rock.

6th Annual October Fest (Oct 2~4) GC1QQ1F

I'll post more details in a new thread.
