Has anyone seen it? It was a book adapted to film by Alfred Hitchcock and then remade I think sometime in the '90's as a miniseries that is allegedly more faithful to the book.

I personally loved the Hitchcock version and as always, Lawrence Olivier was gorgeous and tortured as Maxim deWinter.

I saw it a few months back. As I recall I liked it but didn't much care for the ending. It just sort of ended abruptly.

Haven't seen the remake. I saw the one made by Alfred Hitchcock. I would be interested to see that remake. Even though alfred hitchcock is a genius, I do really like the book by Daphne Du Maurier and thought the Hitchcock film was not quite right in some places.
