The Tangle
Chris Wooton©
He walks no trodden path
No marked pavement road
He has no fear of wrath
No question of power bestowed
He is running through the Tangle
Through the trees and weeds
Trying to differenciate
The good and evil deeds
He hears voices three
Through the trees
He follows one
Down to his knees
And on the way
He hears it say
"Do not listen
To you today."
He is running through the Tangle
Through the thorns and brush
He listens harder
As one begins to hush
Now voices two
Quoth the second;
"I follow you."
And he loses way
Into the fray
He listens deeper
As one gets weaker
Now voices one
And he is stunned
Quoth the third;
"You are running through the Tangle
Through the thorns and vines
If you stop the strangle
I'll make it cheese and wine." For those of you wondering: yes, I am Christopher Wooton.

I like the idea though not bad actually it is not elementary at all. in fact it is a true form of poetry, though it may seem "elementary". that is because it is a common form of poetry. very confusing though, the poem is.

Quite. It pertains to anyone, actually. The tangle resembles literally a brush forest, which normally is really hard to walk through. The metaphorical meaning is that the forest resembles one's journey through life. Though long and arduous, it is rewarding at the end.
