Nissa.

Tomboy. Tough. Foul-mouthed. Punk.

There was nothing truly feminine about this girl at all. She stalked across the lands like a cat on a mission, her head just above being parrallel with her shoulders, her face set in a sort of angry scowl. The bright pink feathers atop her head fluttered in the wind. The numerous piercings glinted under the bright rays of the sun.

She was a lean but muscled creature, spending her life travelling and mostly doing that alone. She didn't believe in putting trust in anyone. No one. Not family or others outside of kin. She'd learnt long ago that you couldn't trust anyone but yourself.

That was why she was always alone.

If she'd open up, she'd tell you it was because of her mother that she turned out this way. But she won't open up. So she won't tell you.

She paused, lifted her decorated head higher still and cast a gaze around her, realising almost instantly her mistake. She was too close to pride lands. Far too close. She hesitated, letting her bright eyes flash across the horizon, looking for a new path in order to sweep by unnoticed.

Mzu growled softly under her breath, irritated yet again. How come she was the one always hunting? She was the Beybanu, surely she should get to relax and lounge around more than the others, since she should be giving them the orders to go out hunting. But no, it didn't work like that. Liua was too busy with the cubs, Najiyya, whislt a sweetheart, wasn't the best, and Faeqa was Mkodi-knows-where. Mzuka'hila knew she was the best huntress out of the four - she wasn't being arrogant, it was just a fact. She was a skilled hunter in the pride, and it was one of the things that had attracted Faiz in the first place. But...still. It didn't mean she always enjoyed hunting.

Sighing softly, she picked her way through the vegetation, careful where she put her paws so as now to snap twigs and raise an alarm in any nearby prey beasts. She sunk low to the ground, nose twitching.

The hunt was on.

Twitching her white-banded tail, the dark grey lioness set off again. Her pace was quicker this time, hurried, almost. She rarely 'hurried', tending to go at her own pace in her own time. She went where she pleased. She did what she pleased. But she would not go near a pride.

She would not join a pride.

Blue bangs fell across her eyes, partially obscuring her vision. Perhaps this was why she hurried past the stalking female without even noticing her. Or maybe it was the simple fact that her hurrying meant she'd let some of her observation drop a little.

Either way, just from looking at her, you would know she was not of this pride. Her eyes were too defiant for that.

Mzu was an excellent huntress - that point has already been established. So of course she was going to notice the hurrying female, tensing for several moments as her emerald eyes watching Nissa, before a frown crossed her pretty face. That lionness - she hadn't seen her before. And she was hurrying far too much to be hunting. Her eyes sparkled with something, and mzuka realized something all too quickly.

She wasn't of the Ukuucha'Wafalme. She was a rogue.

Her mind cast back to her talk with Faiz. She was supposed to have an escort on the borders. But...but this wasn't the borders. This was a fair way into the Ukuucha territory, their hunting grounds. And Mzuka was fairly certain she could hold her own against a female without much trouble - Faiz had been more angry that Arindam had been a male, therefore more of a threat. What was she supposed to do? It was the males that captured the females. But these hunting grounds weren't frequented by males - it was the females that did all the hunting.

Mind made up, Mzuka began to follow Nissa, quickening her pace to keep up. "Oi!", she called, trying to get Nissa to stop, "What're you doing?"

She was caught.

Nissa's instant response was to go into defensive action. She skidded to a halt and span, a mass of bristling fur and muscle. Her face was pulled back into an ugly scowl, bearing a flash of brilliant but yellowing fangs. Maybe if she looked scary enough whoever it was who had spotted would just choose to let her go without any hassle.

Well, it had worked in the past, that was for sure.

She stood her ground, not moving closer, her tail thrashing, her throat puffing as she released a warning hiss.

She did not speak at once, preferring to let her body language do that for her. Then, after a moment, she realised a question had been asked of her and she decided it best to break the silence.

"Just passing through." She called back gruffly.

Mzuka halted as soon as the other did, watching as she turned and instantly took an offensive position. The female rolled her eyes, seemingly not intimidated in the slightest. She was tiny for a female - smaller than one might expect an adolescent to be. She was practically half the size of Faiz. This lionness was large, and despite her earlier thoughts on how it'd be a fair fight, she was quickly realizing that wasn't true. She'd be crushed before she got a chance. So simply enough, she wouldn't start the fight in the first place.

"Geez, calm down," she hissed, although not in a condescending nor angry way. More like she was whispering. "I was just asking."

She paused, quickly surveying the surroundings to check no other females, or even males, had wandered on the pair. "You realize you're on the Ukuucha'Wafalme lands, right? ...And that if I was male, you'd be like...captured by now."

Nissa snorted, amused. What this cat joking or what? Did she think every passing rogue had heard of these pathetic lands let alone knew how things worked?

"I dun care whose frikkin lan' I'm on." She snapped. "I on'y care that I'm no' goin' tah be on 'em fer long. Or, tha' was the plan 'til you came and poked yer interferring nose into things." Her tone had softened a little and it was somehow clear that this was the way she spoke with everyone, not just to those she didn't like.

Insults were pleasantries in her little world.

She snorted again and this time she did laugh. "Capture me? I ain't no pretty l'il princess, kitty-cat. I'd jus' love to see how your males would handle me." She strengthened her stance as if hoping one would come bounding over and try to take her out.

Mzu frowned, ears swivelling backwards in surprise at the uncaring tone the female used. She didn't care? Well...she certainly should. Looking offended for a few moments before composing herself again, mzuka sighed, shaking her head a little in despair. Dear lord, what had she found herself here?

"And I'm no kitty-cat, princess. I can tell you for a fact, though, that any male in this pride would gladly have you - you're quite pretty. And they'd get you however they could, even if it means knowing you out." she spoke matter-of-factly, snorting as she suppressed a yawn, "So if I were you, princess, I'd start caring. 'Cause, y'know, it's my duty to call them and all. You wouldn't have the chance to get off the lands before they found you."

Her ears swivelled backwards and a brow arched. She was clearly not impressed, but nothing really impressed her anymore. Generally...she was just dissapointed. Dissapointment was not what she found now, however. No, it was...confusion, she supposed. What had she found here? Some weird freaking pride, that's for sure.

"Wha'? 'Ave me? Hey, Kitty-cat, I ain't no one's posession, you got tha'? If not, then yer a stupid fool righ' there. Who are these males, comin' aroun' 'ere, acting like they better than us? And why? Eh? Why are they so frikkin brilliant, eh? I seen a lotta males, Kitty, and le' me tell you somethin' about 'em. They're all fools. The lotta 'em. They migh' be stronger, yeah, but who does the huntin', who feeds their damned lazy asses? Us, tha's righ'! Well, no' this cat. I'd sooner die than be some male's little servant."

She was clearly quite capable of talking about subjects in which she was passionate, and being the feminist that she was, this was one of her most heated subjects.

And geez, this was scary! A whole pride of those b*****d lions! This place must be the closest to hell as one could get.

Mzuka rolled her eyes with an irritated sigh. This girl clearly had no idea what she'd gotten herself into. Casting her gaze over Nissa with a very bored look, she raised an eyebrow. Sooner die, eh? Well, she didn't doubt that if a male found her, that could be a very real possibility. Was there even a point, explaining it to her? Explaining how the males gave them protection, love, in return for their kills and children? She almost felt angry - Faiz certainly wasn't a fool. Faiz was wonderful, amazing, and just...just everything Mzu wanted and needed him to be. She snorted, expelling her anger that way instead.

"You're on the Ukuucha-Wafalme lands, so if a male says you're his, you are," she snapped a little less nicely that before, feeling her temper beginning to fizz, "Whether willingly or by force." She narrowed her eyes, sorely tempted to call. For Faiz, for Aali, for any male. Would she get praised? She might even get a treat of some sort. Ooo, that'd be nice...

"You know wha', Kitty-cat? Yer a to'al disgrace!" Nissa snapped, irritated. She wanted to beat some sense into this female, scream until she came to her senses, drag her away so that she might realise there was a better life than this. But the girl was clearly brainwashed. She sensed there was no helping her. She was too far gone.

"Yah don' e'en deserve tah call yerself a lioness. Yer jus' some min'less li'l slave doin' as yer told."

She growled. "An' I already told yah. I ain't gonna be no male's girl. You got tha', Kitty?!" She bristled anew. "Cos if those fools e'en try it, I'll go fer their throat, bite 'em up real bad. No one ain't taming this girl."

She bore her fangs. "Now, are yah gonna le' me go back the way I came or are yah gonna make this difficult?"

What was this girl on!?

Was she crazy or something? Mzuka'hila's hackles noticeably raised, the lionness hissing at her words. A disgrace!? What the hell was she talking about!? She very well was a lionness, more of a lionness than this piece of filth! "I'm no slave, and I'm more of a lionness than you!" she snarled fiercely, instantly taking an offensive stature.

Right. Her mind was made up now. Snarl twisting instead to a sadistic smirk, Mzu sucked in all the air she could before letting loose a long, loud cry, yowling loudly into the air. She didn't stop - the longer she could keep it going, the more males would hear and come running. She wouldn't stand a chance.

Another planet completely, by the sounds of it.

She lifted her head in response and curled her lips back anew. She was pretty sure she could handle herself in a fight against this one. Hell, she had confidence enough to think she could beat up a male. However, more than one male? Probably not...

The other female roared and for a terrible moment Nissa was stuck with indecision. Fight or flee. No, it was no good. If she fought, she'd be wasting precious time and end up getting caught. Then again, if she could talk some sense into this female, wouldn't it be worth it? But could she really do it?

"Shh!" She hissed, bristling and arching her back. "Shut up yoos idiot!" She jerked forwards, attempting to bowl her across the ground to quiet her. If she couldn't talk any sense into her, at least she might be dazed enough to not know which direction she had fled if any males did come this way.
