... god dammit.

Awesome.
Enter short, annoyed and less informative version.

I was at the range on Sunday. Not very many milsurps other than me and another with a mid war production Mosin in a monte carlo stock and scout scope mount.

BSed with some range officers, ones got an Enfield just like mine, two groove barrel and dated 1943.

I started off shooting with my M38, then I tried the 26 Ex-Dragoon, failed to get the grouping I got before.
In fact, most of my grouping was off, couldn't get tighter than 3 1/2".
Got remarks about the bark on that Mosin. Lol

I shot the '39 Tula, I have some feeding and ejecting problems that failed to surface when hand cycling.

At the end I took out my '43 Mosin and slung some Albanian surplus down range.
I only shot 20 rounds and didn't even try for accuracy. Just aimed for the bullseye, well, bottom left of the paper and just went at it.

The paper flopped to one side, thinking I hit one of the clothes pins. I do that a lot when I miss. I just waited for the wind to push it back to fire again. Do that until 20 are gone.

One of the paperclips were destroyed. Could have been from getting hit by the bullet, but schrapnel seems just as likely.

I hit the metal V shaped bar that holds up the chicken wire fence that the targets are pinned to.
I hit it twice.
Sorry.
I put two clean HOLES straight through that ~1/4" metal post.

Good news is, 18/20 on the paper. sweatdrop
