Rules
1. Do not spam this board, it is encouraged to chat here about anything, mostly about Halloween, the event, etc etc.
2. Do not ask for donations, nor beg.
3. Do not cheat, do not use others work.
4. If you are taking part of the event, make sure you're active with it.
5. Have fun!

Requirements
Of course, there are requirements to take part of this event, otherwise it would be unfair to those whom deserve it. You need at least 65 posts to take part of the event. Yes, you can post around the guild til time being, and you can post here, but you will not earn any prizes if you do not fit the requirement.

So, what will be of this event?
Of course, there will be contests in which you can earn yourselves some neat prizes. But, there will also be prizes for those whom took part of the event as well, so either way, everyone gets something! There will be giveaways all through the month, smaller ones and than when the event is close to the end (first day of November) there will be a huge giveaway!

What's the difference between games and contests?
Well, for one, the games can be played multiple times and have smaller prizes and contests can only be played once and you have to wait til the event is over with to win the prizes from there plus, they have much bigger prizes than the games.

What's the guides for?
Uh, hello? I'm trying to save your life when some monster/zombie/witch tries to attack you as you trick and treat in your weenie costume, APPRECIATE. D<
Well, really, it's just for the LOL's. You know, the giggles.

Are we allow to chat in this thread?
Of course, in fact it's encouraged! If you're posting outside of the thread, it's not taken part of the event. In order to take part of the event, you obviously have to be posting here. So for this month, this thread will be basically like a chatterbox. <3

Scavenger Hunt
Oh ~ it's time to look deep into that dark forest and find what I need.. oh, I mean all you have to do is find the item(s) I am looking for, which are anywhere within the guild, when you find the item(s) you take SCREEN SHOTS and send me the link where you found it, which means both screen shot and link <3. The places will change, so you cannot cheat and share, because remember: SHARING IS NOT CARING (muwhaha, of course, I'm kidding, but seriously. No cheating and they will be placed in different spots and changed). What you think I should give you things for this?! Greedy! No, kidding again. Of course you get prizes.

Halloween, the season in which it's time to watch creepy, scary movies which can be very educational in learning the critical techniques of staying alive when encountering unusual situations. Here is a guide that could save your life this year! Don't take notes, better memorize the list, after all, when encountering a situation where one of these tips could be useful, it will be too late to refer to that list you left at home on your desk.

When it appears that you have killed the monster, never check to see if it's really dead.

If you find that your house is built upon or near a cemetery, was once a church that was used for black masses, had previous inhabitants who went mad or died in some horrible fashion, or had inhabitants who performed necrophilia or satanic practices in your house, move away immediately.

Never read a book of demon summoning aloud, even as a joke.

Do not search the basement, especially if the power has just gone out.

If your children speak to you in Latin or any other language which they should not know, or if they speak to you using a voice which is other than their own, destroy them immediately. It will save you a lot of grief in the long run. Please take a notice, it will probably take several rounds to kill them, so be prepared.

When you have the benefit of numbers, never pair off and go it alone.

As a general rule, don't solve puzzles that open portals to Hell.

Never stand in, on, above, below, beside, or anywhere near a grave, tomb, crypt, mausoleum, or other house of the dead.

If you're searching for something which caused a noise and find out that it's just the cat, leave the room immediately if you value your life.

If appliances start operating by themselves, move out.

Do not take anything from the dead. Please, they really do not like that. They aren't into sharing.

If you find a town which looks deserted, it's probably for a reason. Take the hint and stay away.

Don't fool with recombinant DNA technology unless you're sure you know what you are doing.

If you're running from the monster, expect to trip or fall down at least twice, more if you are of the female persuasion. Also note that, despite the fact that you are running and the monster is merely shambling along, it's still moving fast enough to catch up with you.

If your companions suddenly begin to exhibit uncharacteristic behavior such as hissing, fascination for blood, glowing eyes, increasing hairiness, and so on, get away from them as fast as possible.

Stay away from certain geographical locations, some of which are listed here: Amityville, Elm Street, Transylvania, Nilbog (God help you if you recognize this one), the Bermuda Triangle, or any small town in Maine.

If your car runs out of gas at night, do not go to the nearby deserted-looking house to phone for help. Just don't do it, you WILL NOT come out alive.

Beware of strangers bearing tools such as chainsaws, staple guns, hedge trimmers, electric carving knives, combines, lawnmowers, butane torches, soldering irons, band saws, or any device made from deceased companions. THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS.

Listen closely to the soundtrack; and pay attention to the audience, since they are usually far more intelligent than you could ever hope to be.

Here are some ways to confuse trick or treaters.

Give away something other than candy (toothpicks, bags filled with sand, empty soda cans, etc.)

Wait behind your door until some people come up, when they are near the door, jump out (wearing a costume), holding a bag and yell, "Trick or Treat!" Look at them, act confuse, than walk back into the house. Repeat.

Fill a briefcase with marbles and crackers. Write on it, "Top Secret" in big letters. When trick-or-treaters come, look around suspiciously, say, "It's about time you got here," give them the briefcase, and quickly shut the door.

Get about 30 people to wait in your living room. When trick-or-treaters come to the door, say, "Come in." When they do, have everyone yell, "Surprise!!!" Act like it's a surprise party.

Get everyone who comes to the door to come in and see if they can figure out what's wrong with your dishwasher. Insist that it makes an unnatural "whirring" sound.

After you give them candy, hand the trick-or-treaters a bill.

Open the door dressed as a giant fish. Immediately collapse, and don't move or say anything until the trick-or-treaters go away.

When you answer the door, hold up one candybar, throw it out into the street, and yell, "Crawl for it!"

When you answer the door, look at the trick-or-treaters, act shocked and scared, and start screaming your head off. Slam the door and run around the house, screaming until they go away. Make sure it's loud.

Insist that the trick-or-treaters each do ten push-ups before you give them any candy.

Hand out menus to the trick-or-treaters and let them order their candy. Keep asking if anyone wants to see the wine list.

Get a catapult. Sit on your porch and catapult pumpkins at anyone who comes within 50 yards of your house.

When people come to the door, jump out a nearby window, crashing through the glass (not needed but a plus), scream and run as far away from your house as you can.

Answer the door dressed as a pilgrim. Stare at the trick-or-treaters for a moment, pretend to be confused, and start flipping through a calendar.

Instead of candy, give away colored eggs. If anyone protests, explain that the eggs are the only thing you had left over from Easter.

Answer the door dressed as a dentist. Angrily give the trick-or-treaters a two-hour lecture on tooth decay.

Answer the door with a mouthful of M & M's and several half-eaten candy bars in your hands. Act surprised, and close the door. Open it again in a few seconds, and insist that you don't have any candy.

Hand out cigarettes and bottles of aspirin.

Put a crown on a pumpkin and put the pumpkin on a throne on your porch. Insist that all of the trick-or-treaters bow before The Great Pumpkin.

Dress up like a bunny rabbit. Yell and curse from the moment you open the door, and angrily throw the candy at the trick-or-treaters. Slam the door when you're finished. Remember to hop!

Here is a guide to what houses you should avoid if you're trick or treating.

Any house that wasn't there only a minute ago.

Any house with various and extremely realistic statues in the front yard of people in odd "running away" poses.

Any house that seems to be imploding into a space-time wormhole.

Any house made of food.

Any house whose only entrance goes to the basement.

Any house where the high tension wires suddenly stop right above it.

Any house that has ornamental lawn hyenas.

Any house that growls "get out," or growls anything for that matter.

Any house where the furniture seems to be walking across the living room floor.

Any house that looks like a giant pulsating orb floating 3 feet off the ground.
