Well I've been reading around lately and I noticed that a lot of people are audition for YG, SM etc.
So I'm wondering if any gaians have tried it yet. I personally haven't but I would love to read experiences on how you prepared maybe put up your audition tapes or your thoughts on it in general I guess <3

my friend wanted to try out for avex last year but she didn't end up doing it. but for avex they wanted to see a video of you singing a song in Japanese [or singing and dancing or just dancing] and i dunno what happens then.
I think SM has issued a world audition earlier this year, but the page is all korean and i can't read it

I almost auditioned, but we said no to soon-activities because we were both still in school (the girl I was in a group with). Then we ended up breaking up rofl. No matters, I want to be a teacher anyway.
Anyway... SM has like monthly auditions in California. I'm not sure where, though. I'm sure you could google it or use google translations on the Korean site nancelot mentioned.

@ Yg-Entertainment: haha I would say that to anyone who got in lol but I wish I was that good to get it That's why I have to take classes soon TAT but you should try...wouldn't hurt to try since it's all free to send in a tape and such...only cost a postal stamp I think XD
@nancelot: wow I didn't know dancing was required. I thought it was all about the voice and than training will help with the dancing and stuff. Although I did hear that SM had like multiple rounds you had to go through Like you sing...get into a round...than they give you a dance to learn and a lot more after that... I was like ...wow.
@zeo: thanks for the info I'm going to check it out. A friend of mines wants to get specifically into SM and it's as if I can tell she's going to ask me to go to cali with her O_O haha, anyways I'm going to check it out and sorry to hear about the girl lol although best of luck with your teaching career <3

Oh, it's no problem (about the girl). The group wouldn't of gone anywhere, anyway. Yeah. SM... it might even be more frequent then once a month, I'm not entirely sure. Their office is located in California (their American office), but you would become a trainee and move to Korea is they accept you. JYPE's is in NYC, if they ever cross your mind. YG doesn't have an American office, so they're a bit more difficult to try out for.

I've never done that before and if I did the glass would break and people will run away to another country.

I had hopes of auditioning for YG in LA, but then they said that the auditionee had to be fluent in Korean and English. Unfortunately, since I'm not korean, I'm not fluent. ):
