Poem/Lyrics

Well this is supposed to be lyrics, but I guess it somewhat counts as a poem. Tell me how you like it.

To the night I give my light, Show to me that which I seek
I wish to see the heavens, that reach so far above the skies.
My world is crumbling, as the days go by.
Give to me my faithful power, so that I may try to recover.

I like it, but its kinda dry. You might wanna switch up the positioning of the verb and subject to have a twist to the phrases and how it rolls on the tongue
