First there was the XREP shotgun shell. That was a pretty cool idea, no? They've gotten better. Meet the Taser X3 That's right, three cartridges in the same pistol. And it's smaller than the previous generation, too. It can disable three separate people at the same time (video), due to its spark-plug-esque pattern of shocking, and the best part... if you hit someone with only one barb and put a second round into him (and only one more barb hits), it can still shock across those two barbs to disable him, even though they're from different cartridges. Oh, and it's got a ******** tesla coil light show mechanism on the firing face to say "back the ******** down now", via that little red lightning-bolt button you see in front of the trigger. Bet it also works as a stun-gun too, but they didn't say that. I think it did in the previous models too, but only after the taser had been fired, to reduce the risk of static discharge causing an AD. Now it works that way all the time. And this shouldn't go without mention... they now make a short-range (15-20 feet) and a long-range (35-40 feet) cartridge, and the Taser can tell them apart and adjust the laser to match. Now if only Taser would start using green lasers... And here's the part I'm not sure if I like or not... the Taser Big Brother. The taser tracks everything it does, from trigger pulls to ARC warnings to "your car will need service in 14 days" and "service engine soon". When it hits an open Wi-Fi network, it ******** encrypts and uploads that s**t to the internet, to a site called "evidence.com". It's nice to know that you're monitored and can only use it in response to a threat (because people know if you use it and don't report it), and it's nice to know that your gun is an infallible witness to everything that happens, but... I dunno, people watching what you do always seems like a bad idea. Oh yeah, and it comes in solid black, too. But solid black doesn't have the same je-ne-sais-quoi of "I'm a bee, ********!" black-and-yellow.

I like it. Looks a little unweildy, but that might just be the picture, there's no scale or anything.
Maybe the tracks-your-every-move could be worked around?
Guess if I said for CCW I'd carry a mini-.45, knife, taser, iron knuckles, and a backup revolver I'd come off as a mall ninja, huh?

ArmasTermin I like it. Looks a little unweildy, but that might just be the picture, there's no scale or anything. They claim it's smaller than the previous Taser, but there's no REAL pictures of it anywhere... just CGI renders. Quote: Maybe the tracks-your-every-move could be worked around? I'm not certain whether I'd want to or not... I can't think of anything bad that could come of it, but I have this haunting feeling that there is. Quote: Guess if I said for CCW I'd carry a mini-.45, knife, taser, iron knuckles, and a backup revolver I'd come off as a mall ninja, huh? Kind of hard to carry all that s**t CCW-wise, unless you're Trenchcoat McCargoPockets.

Not long until they have 'taser' rounds for certain calibers.

Now out of sheer morbid curiosity I must ask, What happens if one panics and shoots all 3 into one person?

Man of the Demoneye Now out of sheer morbid curiosity I must ask, What happens if one panics and shoots all 3 into one person? If I had to guess, I'd say that it would shock slightly longer (time between shot 1 and shot 3 plus regular stun duration), it would be more effective, from the larger spread area, and it would probably hurt like hell. But since only two shock at any one instant, it wouldn't do any stupid triangle-shock s**t.

i find it hilarious that only now does someone think "hey i need more shots in my tazer gun" because you cant reload it obviously so if a guy was attacked by a group they would be screwed after firing the first shot and mean y doesn't someone just invent a cartridge for the god dam thing instead of just having more shots in it

You can only keep one man down at a time with a standard Taser.
