Ah! That episode made fun of Ted because he was the sexless innkeeper until the end of the episode. How could he use his new career to pick up a hot girl when Barney has to lie everytime he has a one night stand?

The best part about Barney's poem (apart from the epic 19th century garb and mutton chops heart ) was the ending:
"'And thus she became the Sexless Inkeeper'
*Abrupt change to modern times*
Aaaand so are you."
I loved it! It was so bright and poetic, and then it smacked you in the face with that perfectly Barney-esque finishing line.
