Let me introduce you to my Brawl-equipped Dancer using Sword Dance.

3150 damage!

Critical hit! 6200 damage!

(Yes, I might be a little obsessed. I'm thinking of turning the Brawling Dancer into a Dancing Monk, though. Monk takes hits better, y'know.)

Does anyone play any of the pre-FF7 Final Fantasy titles?

I've played through 1, 2 and 6. (GBA remakes of 1+2) 1 is a terrible game by today's standards.

Sure, or at least I did. Got stuck on the remakes of 1 & 2 for the GBA and now I've lost them.

Tell me about it. I can barely bring myself to saving the game. FF3-6 are at least decent. FF3 lacked spectacularly in the story/plot development area, but the Job system was fun. However, FF5 improved on FF3's Job system and had a good story to boot, pretty much putting FF3 in the "pointless" section. FF3 had the Onion Kid/Onion Knight, sure, but FF5 had Freelancers, Mimes, and Job Ability mixing.

I played 1-5; Final Fantasy IV was my favorite though because of music, plot twists and the infamous "You spoony bard!" line. xd

Have fun with your random battles every 4 steps in FF1. Then again you got through the stupidity that is X and XII so I guess you're gonna be ok

Don't forget your characters attacking nonexistent enemies.

Just making sure, but have you played FFX and FFXII, Nit?

Played pretty much FF I - VI all on the GBA and beat them... but not really leveled to the extent of the OP. Thats more hardcore and dedicated than I currently can handle. sweatdrop

I played through X, and as much of XII as I could stomach before I gave it back to my cousin.

Sadly, in the GBA remake of I the experience chart for enemies was increased. So yes, you'll be overleveled if you don't run from about 2/3 of all your fights.

X is one that really requires you being willing to deal with Tidus changing his behavior on and off until the last 30% of the storyline.

XII has a generic story. And unless you know what you're doing, every fight will be more difficult than it needs to be. So yeah, the only way to enjoy this one is either to experiment around (which most people don't want to do) or look up how to do (nearly) everything on the internet.
