What is Maple Story?

So, I've heard of people playing the game, but I have yet to know what the game is about. What it is and if it's pay to play.

Well, for starters, MapleStory is a Free-2-Play side-scrolling Platformer Action-MMORPG. You can customize your character with many items, weapons, accessories, etc. There's hardly any story to the game, but it's mainly about you and many million other players around the planet exploring and traveling across different lands in the Maple World while fighting many different species of monsters. It's actually quite fun, too; you even get to be a pirate or a ninja-based thief in the game.

But overall, it's a good game.

My girlfriend and I have played it in the past, and found it quite... interesting? After about half a month you get bored, because like most MMo's it gets boring after the novelty of a different control scheme and dimension fades.

I almost agree with that statement, but the real problem of the game is the grinding. Because when your character reaches the higher levels, it'll start taking a long while to level up again. So the grinding in this game is completely bad.

i agree; i think i played for about 2 months or so. it was fun at first, but just didn't fit the type of game i wanted to play. don't think it's not fun, though
