New Foods

So, have any of new tried any new foods or dishes to add to your taste palette?

Since I came back to campus my friends have made me different (Korean) dishes.

My favorites being the different dishes for Kim-Chee (pickled napa cabbage). Which I find surprising since I normally dislike leafy type veggies....or anything remotely healthy-haha. But it is yum-ness....especailly the spicy kind.



I've also tried stuffed grape leaves.....but didn't care much for those.

anyways my closest venture is jambalaya, which i'd neve rheard of and is now one of my favourite confort foods smile


I make it with sausages, rice, chicken gravy, celery,peppers,onion,tobasco sauce, tomatoe puree......YUM!


as for chinese and indian foods...i'm still learning. at home my dad and sister are very VERY fussy, so we never eat that stuff - so i have no base from which to cook 0o

Hm....I guess for me, foreign would be lasagna!! (Or then again not foreign or different since I'm an american guyanese. But I wish mom would make more often.

Foreign foods I like....indian/muslim Kabab's. This place we bought it at once made it spicy and it was really good. But...that was in another state while we were on vacation so I won't be eating that again anytime soon.
Typical food for me is Rice with some base with it like (meat/fish) curry or something. I also like Shish-ka-bob but I can only get those at hot dog stands in NY. >_> Bummer they're really good. And I want one badly now....

I've been to a japanese resto.. and i ordered lots of dishes.. i had these awesome cuttlefish food and some oyster and steak and soup and noodles and tempura of different classes.. damn.. makes me go hungry again smile
