Nicolieus had been on her own for a while, having went their separate ways for a while. She wondered if she'd ever see him again, but decided she probably shouldn't dwell on it. She had to look to the future, not the past. Hoping that he was safe and well was all she could do. Her ocean blue eyes scanned the dark land. Night had just crept over the land as it does each day. Slowly turning golden browns to dark purples. Her light brown pelt blended easy in the land of browns. It was the one thing she liked about this new area she stumbled upon.
The only problem with it was the heat. She wasn't much a fan of it. Liking the colder areas. The mountains where the place she liked best. Her fur thick, and suitable for there. But she needed change. She needed something, but she didn't know what yet... Just to follow her feet and let them lead her.

Thantos was majorly easy to spot at night, which how white he is even though he had black markings with leopard spotting. he was on the prowl this night, more out of boredom then anything. leaping onto a rock, he looked up at the sky to watch the stars that would be out soon enough with the night sky. giving a small smile to himself, it was a rare sight to see him smile with how detached and emotionless he could be usually.

On the other hand, Nicolieus wasn't really looking to spot anyone except maybe something that might taste good. She was hungry. Having traveled far this night, seemed to lack a bit of food in the lands she roamed. She had lost a bit of weight, but nothing that'd hurt her too much. She'd eat as soon as she could find something.... Anything.
Something seemed to glow in the night before her. As if the moon itself was upon the ground roaming around. Though it seemed that it was missing spots or perhaps black fur of something that made it seem like missing parts. Since the white spots seem to glow just as vibrantly as the rest of it.
Curious, Nicolieus moved towards it. She wasn't sure what it was. Having lost thought of food for a moment. It seemed to be something that could be magical. Maybe some power in which no one else has seen. Then again, she had a childish imagination when it was just herself. To anyone else she could seem cold, yet sweet at the same time. She didn't like letting others get too close to her physically or mentally.
As she moved closer, she realized it was nothing magical, but another leopard. A very pale one. Which was probably not the best time for it to be out at night. She stopped in her tracks, causing a bit of noise since she happened to stop on some dead grass. Which made a bit of a crunch noise.

Thantos snapped out of his little dream land when he heard the noise of dead grass being walked on. ears back, he looked for the noise only to find it had been a female leopard passing through. making a tsking noise, he went back to his star gazing. "if your trying to be quiet, your falling miserably. sorry to tell you that." lashing his tail about some, he guess it couldn't hurt to have a bit of a conversation. " so what brings you in these parts?"

She gave a very quiet snort. Almost furious on how he was acting. As if he was better then her. Or maybe he was? She wasn't sure. "I wasn't trying to be quiet, or you would have never heard me" she said in a clam voice almost as if she wasn't angry at all. She was good at keeping her voice one tone all the time. Just calm and not very loud, but not too quiet. "If you must know, I was just wondering aimlessly. Letting my feet caring me to the land it desired." She spoke with ease and elegance.
"I thought you were some type of light." She said honestly. "You glow like no other leopard I've seen, at least with the moon hitting you on this fine evening." She told him. Still stopped in the place that she had. Not moving a inch. The rest of her body was just as still. Only her eyes and mouth seemed to move. She was totally fixed upon him, in case he tried anything. She wasn't scared of him, but she wasn't going to get herself hurt if she could help it.

"never said you where trying, just said if you where. asuming would of been foolish and would of made me look bad." Thantos stayed calm and now stayed still as he kept on enjoying his star gazing. " wondering aimlessly can bring interesting adventure to anyone who decides to do that." stopping his star gazing for a moment, he looked at her. " i guess my white coat does that in this light. and do you always keep such a distant from those you don't know or is it just me?" giving a hint of a smirk, it seemed she was very careful around those she did not know.

"Foolishness comes to those who are fools regardless of what they say." She said. Still not moving at all except her eyes and a twitch of a tail. "Are you saying you don't like a bit of adventures, oh great white one" She said in regards that she hadn't learned his name yet. Though, she didn't think she really cared if she knew his name or not. Seeing as right now, he was nothing to her but another conversation.
"I do not know who you are, so I can't really tell what your intentions are towards others." She said honestly. She was never afraid of saying the truth, which probably made her seem colder then she really was. "I rather not get hurt if I can help it. I hope you can understand something like that?" She spoke with ease, which almost sounded a bit cold as she talked. Calm and mellow with no emotion in it. It was the best way to talk. It kept her from getting to close to others. Kept her from getting hurt... or them.

" going to have to agree with you there. as for adventures, I'm content with where I'm at so i guess i have no need for one." He didn't put much effort into giving his name or getting to know her name. getting close to someone meant getting hurt one way or another and he liked avoiding that, which was why he was rather cold. "better to be safe than sorry. but i can assure you that i have no ill intentions towards you in anyway. you where just passing through, and it seemed a prime opportunity to have a small conversation this evening. my name is Thantos by the way."

She inclined her head. "Forgive me if I don't move closer," she paused "I'm sure your telling the truth, but I just can't take your word for it. Seeing as your still a stranger." She said with a small smile. It was more out of politeness then anything. "And you can wonder aimlessly and still return to the place in which you like. It just cuts your time of wondering a bit." She wondered what it was like to stay in one place.

" i guess you really have no reason to believe me at all. i also have no way to prove my words are true ether unless you decided to trust me but I'm guessing your going to say that trust needs to be earned." Thantos if he had been anyone else, would of chuckled at her but not him, he kept his even tone of voice that some would say meant he didn't care at all what she thought of him or said. "wondering aimlessly for me has no meaning to it. i prefure to stick to the area i like, nothing more or less."

"At least none that you have given me a reason to." She said to him more as a invention for him to change her mind about trust. Or as close as trust as she could ever get to anyone. "Well, do you trust everyone you first meet? If you do, you are what you've already said you weren't." A fool, she thought to herself, but she wanted to see if he'd catch what she was calling him indirectly.
"It has a meaning to everyone. Seeing as you don't like it, it's a meaning of distaste." She told him. "I only do wonder aimlessly until some thing gives me a reason to stop and stay to one place. Which, I might say, isn't easy." She said. Many males have failed to keep her to one spot. Sure some of them were interesting, and quite pleasing, but the moment they tried to pass from being just friends, to something more she moved on. Perhaps she hurt them, she didn't know. She tried not to think about it.

" do you want me to come up with a reason to trust me? and i don't easily trust, though some mistake my personality for trusting easy." Thantos got up and started to stretch himself out since he was getting sore from sitting so long. "wrong, i don't have a distaste for it. it just holds no meaning for me and i have no reason that would cause me to go wandering." done stretching, he flopped onto the ground, in a lazy manner. "seems you got a good reason to go wandering around, though I'm sure you get bored and lonely from time to time wandering alone." he was bluntly honest even if his words could hurt, which he tryed not to hurt anyone on purpose.

"That, Thantos, is up to you." she said with a shrug. "I don't think I know if I would care if you did try or didn't." She was straight forward with everything. She had no reason not to be. It didn't hurt anyone, at least they never said it did. For some reason it made some stick around her longer. "I can say, I won't not try to get to know anyone. As long as it stays on a certain level"
"I'm not one that wants anything other then friendship. Most don't understand this, and try to push me to feel things that I do not feel." She said
She thought about his last statement for a moment. She couldn't really honestly notice when she was lonely or not. Either she was with someone, nor not. "I can't say if I have been or not. I like the solitude, so I suppose it doesn't bug me." Or no one had given her a reason to feel lonely. She had never loved anyone except for her brother, which was a totally different type of love.

"well then theres not much reason for me to bother to gain your trust. i only do things if there is a reason or need to do them." Thantos actually gave a small chuckle at her. " if they where true friends they will respect your wish of wanting nothing more than a friend. if you don't want a relationship, than that is how you want things." he believed in not forcing anything cause it only would cause trouble. " tail tapping the ground, he was beginning to get amused with how similar they where or seemed like they where alike. " i personally prefure solitude also but a nice conversation is never turned away." rolling onto his back, he went back to watching the sky's since he figured she wouldn't attack him or anything.

Unlike him, Nicolieus didn't see them like each other at all. Sure they were similar on the outer shell of things. She finally relaxed and actually moved into a sitting position. It wasn't comfortable to stand for so long, even if it was for a few moments. "Sometimes, others get the wrong impression from me." She said "Then again, I suppose all males just want to get close enough to do certain deeds and move on." She wondered what he'd say. Maybe defend himself and say he wasn't like that.
Then again, most who deny it, were that way truly. "So, why are you out in the middle of no where, if you don't mind my asking?" It didn't seem like a place anyone would actually want to be and yet, he said he wasn't a wanderer, so there had to be something out here. Perhaps a small oasis. Or at least something to drink. The humidity made the heat worse, even at night.
