[PRP] Oh, hello there...cousin? (Suha x Ilyas)

It was another lovely day, the sun bright and perhaps too warm for some tastes but the warmth spreading across her fur was not altogether unpleasant. And the sunlight was cast over the flower she was looking at in just such a way to make the pale blue color of the petals look like they were glowing. Suha lay on her stomach, her sliver paws crossed lightly before her as she gazed at the pretty little bloom. It would make a lovely gift for a handsome and charming pad to give to his favorite banu, a beautiful and delicate sentiment of their love...

...it would be such a sweet ending to a story, just before the part where they lived happily ever after. Of course, the girl he gave it to would have to be in love with him too, and be ever so happy to receive it. Maybe they grew up together...and they were friends, but something happened and they got separated from each other. And then one day they found each other again, and just knew that the other was the one for them, and then he gave her the flower to ask if she'd be his happily ever after and, of course, she would say yes...

Suha's head dropped to rest on her crossed paws, her eyes sliding shut as she tried to imagine what they'd looked like, the lions in her story, her tail twitching occasionally as she thought. No, she wasn't sleeping, she was imagining her story. Maybe, if it was really good, she might tell her daddy about it. But only if it was really special, otherwise she wouldn't bother him about it, his stories were always so amazing, there was no way her silly little daydreams could have compared.

Ilyas was sunning himself. Originally he'd taken one of his younger half-siblings, the one Mzuka had named after his Papa. Faiza had enjoyed spending time in the sun, but she couldn't sit still, and he'd been getting frustrated. But then Mzu had come and taken her away, and Ilyas was given some time to himself. And so, of course he'd decided to have a nap in the warm, pleasant afternoon sun.

But now he was awake. The sun was still shining brightly, but had become obstructed by large, fluffy clouds. The cool breeze that had been refreshing before had become just a little too cold for one sitting still, and so the juvenile had decided to stretch his legs, and go for a wander though the flower-y fields on the far side of the Ukuucha'Wafalme lands. Not quite on the border, but close.

...Certainly too close for a lone lionness cub. Like that one over there. Frowning, Ilyas glanced behind him, then around, wondering if there were any parents of elder lions watching her. It didn't seem to be the case. Sinking into the flowers and grass, Ilyas crept forwards a little, wanting to investigate but not scare the youngster. She was the same age as Mzu's kids. But wait...she looked familiar. Not like he'd seen her before, but almost like...

"Wait, you're Uncle Aali's daughter!" he suddenly gasped, realization striking the male as he stood up, far enough away not to be on top of her but close enough for his sudden appearance to possibly be frightening. Ilyas didn't seem to realize this, however, as a frown clouded his expression, "You shouldn't be out here by yourself! Uncle Aali would be mad!"

Perhaps if Suha had had her eyes open, she might have noticed the approach of another. But she was far too lost in her imaginings to even be aware of the sudden shift in temperature as a cloud scurried across the sun and the wind picked up. The flower had become an integral part of her little story by now, she'd decided that the lioness who was going to receive it in the end had always like that sort of flower ever since she was a cub. Which was why the lion who she had fallen in love with had decided to give it to her. Because he remembered and he knew how special it was, which only made it so much more romantic, and-

"Eeep!" Suha squeaked, jolting to her paws at the sudden gasp. Who was that? And where did he come from, and how did he sneak up on her and...and...

"Daddy would get mad?" she asked, trying not to let her heart scamper around like a frightened hare. He'd startled her, but he didn't seem like he'd meant to scare her. And he'd called her daddy 'uncle'. Which meant he was another one of her cousins, and there was nothing to be scared of with family. "But...I've gone outside the den by myself before," she protested, her ears laying back as she was suddenly anxious that she might have been doing something wrong all along and not even known! How upset would her daddy be with her if he found out? She didn't mean to do something wrong!

Of course, she hadn't noticed just how far outside the den she'd come. There had been that funny shaped cloud, and then that curious little bug with the spots...and then she'd seen all the flowers and just had to look...
