Obadias was tired.

The sun shone brightly in the sky, signaling that it was mid-day but he felt like he had just woken up. Perhaps because he had slept probably only one hour the night before. His mother's had been tired too and had fallen asleep before him, so no one had been awake to cox him back to sleep when he was scared.

Instead, he had just stayed up all night. Thankfully, with his already red eyes, it was almost impossible to see the redness caused by lack of sleep. He was happy though, because he was allowed out of the den. As much as he loved his siblings, it was nice to get a way for a while.

Yawning and trying to hide it, the young Pesar padded through the pride with ease, ignoring the other lions which cast him glances as he passed. He looked a lot like his father, which he knew scared a lot of people.
He was too tired to care. They didn't know him, they didn't know his father (or not very well, at least ), so they shouldn't judge.

Tilting his jaw, Obadias tried to ignore his slowly closing eyelids as he walked. He just hoped he didn't fall asleep standing up again, or crash into something.

User Image Fatin sighed heavily. At this moment, no one was paying her any attention or giving her due adoration. Her jade eyes narrowed and squinted in the bright sunlight. She had fallen into quite the dust pile and had flown to a banu post-haste for some proper grooming, but now that she was clean, she'd been sent on her way, with not enough compliments to satisfy the ego already larger than herself, as the banu had to attend to her blood children. With a glare back in the direction of the nanny, though she was long since out of sight, Fatin sighed. AGAIN. HEAVILY. Such beauty of her own demanded attention, lest she grow ugly from neglect.

In her wincing, she saw a black form skirting along. Opening her eyes wide to focus, she saw that it was her half-brother, Obadias. PFFFFFTTT. Fatin hardly wanted to consider them related, but she had to. After all, Tariq's litter with her mother, Weyard was by far his most attractive, and Fatin the jewel of that crown. However... Tariq didn't seem to treat her like his favorite child. It frustrated her, and even further how he seemed to treat his mother, and how other banus did the same. But they were just jealous of how pretty she was.

In her fit of boredom, neglect, and rage, she flew to her brother's side, bumping his shoulder a little harder than what might be considered 'playful'. "Hey, Dummy! What're you doing?" Her little voice was a little harsh, and she stared at him with furrowed brows, demanding wholly his attention.

Obadias hadn't noticed Fa'tin's approach, too busy trying to stay awake as he slowed his walk. Yawning quietly as he opened his eyes stubbornly. Unfortunately, he opened them a second too late to avoid Fa'tin as she bumped into his shoulder. Stumbling instantly once she nudged him, he barely resisted failing over. Glancing over, he recognized his half sister from his father and another of his women. Her colouring always surprised him. She was such a nice, vivid redish purple, while Obadias was so dark.

“My name is Obadias, Fa'tin
,” he protested lightly at the use of the word 'dummy' but he didn't insult her back, despite he could have.

I'm going for a walk. The den is too crowded.” He left out the part of trying to keep himself awake and that he hadn't slept well the night before. That was just giving her ammunition to make fun of him.

“What are you doing?”

Fa'tin smirked at her felled prey, and nipped at his tail. "ObaDUMMY!" She pawed at him too before backing up so he could stand again. Her older half-brother was weird sometimes. She loved when the den was full, more people to compliment her, though if most were cubs, it was a little more difficult to steal the attention away. He asked her what she was doing, and she shrugged.

"I'm doing whatever I want." She threw her head up, jade green eyes staring down at him. "And I think I want to help you finish your walk." She smirked at Obadias, and wagged her tail, in a doggishly playful manner.

She jumped ahead of him, romping a little before darting back. "Just where were you going, though?" Of course, that didn't quite matter to her, she'd have fun wherever he led, because she'd be there every step of the way to irritate him. That's the best!

Obadias scowled lightly at her, wondering why she had chosen him to irritate today though he sighed and looked away. He shifted away as she physically irritated him, barely resisting the urge to glare at her. "Stop it, Fa'tin!" He grouched.

"I was just going for a walk,"
he protested, lying through his teeth. He didn't want her to know he was going to meet his friend in their spot. He would have to go somewhere else now, because he really didn't want them to meet.

"Don't you have Banu duties or something with Mothers?" He said, grasping at straws so she would leave. Hopefully, she would have something other to do.

She pffft'd her forelock out of her eyes as she looked away in the distance. He didn't scare her! She nodded. "Well a walk sounds like fun, so I'm coming with you!" Of course it wasn't really that fun sounding at all. She was more of one to retreat to a den during the heat of the day or to look for Weyard to spoil her. She hadn't the faintest that his walk was a cover up for a secret shindig, but she didn't really care.

Another, larger PFFFFTT. Like she had anything to do as a banu. True, someday she would be servant to a pad, hopefully as a beybanu, the thought was something she put out of her mind as a cub. "Nope, I'm free for the day. Isn't that lucky, Obadias?" She giggled, though the sound was forced and not as happy-go-lucky as should have come from a cub. She skirted around her 'half-brother' and silently taunted him some more.

Obadias sighed, but nodded his head. "Alright," he said sounding reluctant. "But you have to stay close to me, okay? You're not meant to be out on your own. Banu's shouldn't be unescorted," he said, peering at her and hoping she would listen to him. Sure, she was annoying and frustrating and well...annoying, but she was his half sister and he didn't really want her cubnapped or hurt by a cruel pad.

"Lucky me," he said rather blandly, but he started moving forward again, keeping his pace slow so she could still keep up. "I was going down to the great lake." He didn't give her a choice, if she was going to follow him, then she would just have to deal with his chosen destination, plus, the lake was always fun, especially if he found a shallow area.
