Olive furred paws were placed with the utmost care in the sparse grass, the cub’s body low and stealthy as he stalked his latest tidbit of knowledge. Yes, it was another bug. He was too small to properly stalk a larger creature without being noticed, left behind, or going so far from his den that he would get into trouble. But there would be plenty of time for that when he was older and bigger. For now, there were still dozens of bugs to follow and find out about. And, when the opportunity presented itself, any other lions or lionesses, old young and anywhere in between, that needed to be learned about. Everything. Anything. But he’d been shooed off twice now, it seemed his targets had noticed him and now there was nothing for it but to pretend like he’d never been listening in on the ever-so-interesting conversation. And then a bug with giant eyes on it’s wings and fluttered past, and thus his excuse was to follow the odd brownish bug with the big wings. If said bug just happened to head back in the direction of the deeply secretive adults… well. He was just a curious little cub stalking a tiny little moth-thing. Harmless and innocent, that was him. Or well, that was the appearance he liked to give. In reality, Anwar was far too good at gleaning information he really shouldn’t, knowing all sorts of secrets about all sorts of people. Luckily, he was keeping all this to himself until he figured out what to do with it. Quite a few members of the pride would be shocked to find out just how much the quiet, shy little Pesar knew about them… some of the ‘secrets’ he had were more alarming than even he knew. And some were just little bits of information about strange and interesting insects. He kept those findings ever bit as secret though, knowledge was special. It wasn’t brute strength or imposing stature, but it did something. He just didn’t know how to make it make up for the things he hated lacking, but he just… he knew it could. And he’d just have to work to find out just what it exactly did for him. But anything he knew would be less powerful if someone else knew, or even if they knew he knew. So it had to be kept secret, all of it. Red eyes intent upon the ‘eyes’ on the moth’s soft brown wings, the young cub continued his stalk forward, for all appearances quite oblivious to the world, and any meaningful conversations, that just happened to occur nearby. It wasn't the bug Anwar was hunting, it was information. Because, more than anything, he needed to know everything...

Pari'Essi had permission along with the other cubs to wander out of the den for a bit and enjoy their day. Their pride was safe and she loved it when her mother said that she could get out and wander. It was better than anything else she could even think of asking for, she was glad to be born into a pride where she could wander out of her den and have fun and play while she was still little. Her auntie Ukoo told her that not all prides were safe enough to wander around in also how some in the rogue lands couldn't wander around with out worries. However Pari wasn't wandering just randomly today, she was going after some one. She was going after one of her half siblings.
They shared the same father. Pari knew that they had the same father. But they had different mothers. Even though Ukoo was like a mother she knew she wasn't related to the swamp colored lioness. But the cubs were related to her... At her age she didn't understand the whole harem meaning but she had a feeling that she would one day. But until then she was very happy where she was, with her mommy, brothers and sisters and her 'aunts.' Life was easy.
It wasn't easy to keep up with this other cub. Why did boys have to be to fast? And what was he going after?! She trotted a little faster starting to keep up with him a little easier from behind the bushes She was feeling pretty proud of herself... until he stopped. She let out a squeak as she tumbled into him. She huffed as she sat back on her haunches. She blinked slightly before looking at him. "Why did you..." she couldn't say stop, then he would know that she was following him. Well she was but either way he was going to know that she was following him. "Why did you wander that far away?" She re-worded her question before arching a brow at the male. "Mama and Ukoo said we could wander away but not that far." She huffed before standing up as she looked at him. "They wanted us to stay some what close to the den."

Actually, following the bug with the eyes on its wings was almost worth missing the end of that conversation. He thought it might have been something about one of his mothers… but he wasn’t sure. He didn’t hear enough of it to really know anything. Aside from something being a bit amiss. Maybe he’d get to find out what it was later. If it had been about his father he might have tried to find a better excuse to linger and listen. But it wasn’t even his mother, well, not the one he sort of looked like. So it was alright to learn about this strange thing with eyes on its wings for now…
Anwar squeaked in surprise, starting to leap forward as he felt something touch him only to tumble to the ground in a tangle of paws when he was knocked completely off balance. Red eyes bleak with disappointment as the strange creature flew away, he watched the moth from where he’d sprawled until it was out of sight. Only when it was completely gone did he turn his attention to his sister. She had a different mother than him, but she was lucky. She had dark fur and stripes like their father, even if the stripes were the wrong color.
“I was hunting,” he said quietly, rolling to his feet and shaking some of the dirt and grass from his fur, “But you made me scare it away…” Anwar added glumly. “I know where the den is, I’m not going to get lost.”

Pari'Essi was surprised at how little reaction her brother had at first, she half expected a large amount of anger. At least if he was anything like their father. Sure she had never seen their father angry but she had her around the pride that he wasn't the nicest lion around all of the time. She didn't care because she never saw it, or at that she was never hurt by her father. But she was afraid of one of her brothers or sisters to act like him. She shrugged the thought off as she heard her brother talk. She was still pretty surprise that he lacked anger, but instead he seemed pretty upset. She pawed at him. "I'm sorry..." she looked down at her paws and pawed at the dirt.
She didn't like it when others were upset. More of she really didn't like it when her siblings or family was upset. She was the type of lioness who liked to cheer others up whenever she got the chance. There were no times where she would see some one and not go over and cuddle with them and try to cheer them up. She scooted a little closer to him and gave him a sad smile. "I'm really sorry... I just wanted some one to spend some time with you. I wanted to play." She said quietly again before sighing slightly. she didn't mean to make her sibling upset, but then again he knew she had to realize that not all of her siblings were cool with playing around the way that she was.
"I know you know where the den was..." Her voice trailed as she dug wiggled her toes around as she looked at them. She wasn't sure what else to tell him. She felt pretty bad about what she did, there wasn't much left of what she could say.

Anwar just blinked at her when she went from trying to warn him about getting into trouble to being so very apologetic. He’d not gotten angry or anything. He’d just told her that she let his moth get away. He’d never seen one with eyes on its wings before, he hadn’t even figured out if it could see with them or not. What if he never saw one again? He’d never know! Maybe knowing a little was better than not knowing anything at all, but only knowing half was going to drive him crazy!
Still, she seemed so very sad now. It hadn’t been his intention to upset her, he’d thought he’d responded fairly well considering how annoyed he felt right now. He clearly didn’t know his sister very well, she hadn’t responded the way he’d expected at all. He’d hoped she wouldn’t be so upset, though he couldn’t say he was feeling particularly bothered by it. He was upset after all, so why should he care if she was too?
Well. He didn’t want her to go back to the den all glum and gloomy.
“It’s okay,” he said after a few moments, “What…what did you want to play?”
Anwar wasn’t really into playing all that often, he had so many things he needed to learn. But maybe he could learn a bit about his sister. And then he wouldn’t upset her next time she surprised him.

Pari'essi flicked her hair out of her eye as she looked at him. She knew all of her siblings pretty well. She spent time with all of them and got to know all of them. it was one of her favorite things to do. Even if they were just her half siblings. She liked to get to know all of them. Being as they were born together and all she loved spending time with them and learning about them. They shared the same father and all, she loved them like her full siblings. They were close enough, just because they didn't share the same mother didn't mean anything. But this was one of her brothers that she didn't to that much, mostly because she could almost never find him in the den. And when she did it was nap time or night time and her mother would tell her to go back to sleep.
She flicked her hair out of her eyes as she looked up at him. She was pretty surprised that he wanted to play now. She thought that he would get very annoyed and wander away. But with him telling her that he wanted to play made her her smile brightly. She was excited to play with her sibling. She wiggled her rump around a bit as she smiled at her. "You really want to play?" She asked while she pawed at him a bit giggling a little, she looked around before grinning at her. "What do you want to play?" She trotted up to him and butted his head with her's gently, in a nudge kind of motion.

Anwar wasn’t particularly familiar with most of his siblings, not on a personal level anyway. He knew which ones he was related to, and envied to some degree those who, like Pari’essi, had inherited more of their father’s rich black coat. He knew who he shared a mother with, and he wondered sometimes about all the pink ones none of whom looked much like Tariq… He viewed them with almost a kind of sympathy, since even he had managed to get a smidge of his father’s black in his stripes while they only looked a bit like their mother. The only one of his siblings he’d really spent time with was Obadias. Because he was special…he had real dreams, and…well, Anwar was a little jealous of him. But he was also a little tiny bit worried. His little brother didn’t like those dreams… Anwar would love to trade.
It seemed, at least this time, he’d chosen the right words. He watched as his sister’s face lit up with a bright smile, her excitement clearly visible. He lifted his paw to hold it closer to himself as the Banu pawed at him, not entirely used to playing like this. But he didn’t really mind, there were lots of other things he could be learning about but…shouldn’t he know more about his siblings too? That seemed like something worth knowing, especially since he’d already guessed wrong on what to say to her.
“Oh…I dunno…” he mumbled, the only game he’d played recently was his very secret game with Zarha. He’d promised not to tell anyone about it though, and he’d have kept it to himself anyway. “Maybe…maybe tag? Or…or hide and seek? What do you like to play?”

"If it makes you feel any better it'll probably be back soon." She looked down at her paws before looking back up before smiling apologetically at him. She moved closer to him before nudging him softly. "I'm really sworry." She said quietly before giggling before flicked her hair out of her eyes. "You want to play?" she asked, her ears perked up before giggling slightly then nudging him again. "If you want we could go on an adventure. We might find the butterfly again!" She giggled before nipping at him then glancing toward where she remembered her mom telling her a place that sounded really cool to play around in. she was pretty excited to take one of her siblings there and check it out. Her mother said it was the really cool watering hole. "I'd like to spend the day with you." She giggled. She didn't get to spend much time with her brother

The...the whole day?
Well. Maybe he'd learn some stuff even with his sister following him around. Maybe she'd notice something he might miss, though he liked to think he didn't miss too much.
He lifted a paw and held it closer to himself as she nudged and nipped at him. A lot of energy...she seemed really excited that he'd said he'd play with her. It didn't mean a whole lot to him, but apparently it made her really really happy. Which wasn't so bad... he didn't really like making people unhappy. Usually he didn't care all that much, but then. Well, he'd been sad to see Obadias so unhappy. Maybe that had started this whole worry-about-siblings thing. And it didn't seem like it took much to make her happy.
"An adventure sounds nice," he decided. After all, it would provide more opportunity to find new things. Much better than playing tag. "Do you have something in mind?"

Pari was more than just a little excited. She was going to spend time with her brother and there was nothing that could make it bad in her eyes! She stood up proudly before giving her brother a look over, she really figured that he didn't have as much energy as she did he really seemed really laid back actually, it caught him off guard. She decided that it would be a good idea to cool down a little bit so she didn't really scare him away, she didn't want to do that to her sibling! She wanted to be friends with him. She moved closer to his side then nudged him before thinking a bit.
"An adventure does sound nice." She flicked her tail around behind her as she was thinking. She bumped into him gently before stretching her legs out and the smiling at him. "Well we could go to a place that mommy 'Tep was telling me about." She grinned and nodded at him, that was the main thing that she hated about having her step siblings, they all had Daddy Tariq and there wasn't anything different about that. However with her being that close to her step siblings there was Mommy Ukoo and Mommy O'tep so she had to be careful about who she was talking about. She looked in the direction that she remembered her mom saying it was.
"You wanna check it out. Mama says it's really cool over there. It sounds like fun." She giggled again before trotting toward the of the lake.

She really did seem to be extremely happy that he was going to play. It wasn’t like he’d done anything much either, just agreed to a game of some kind. That that was all it took to make her happy…he felt slightly odd. Sorry? Or scornful? He wasn’t sure, he wasn’t used to being all emotional and excitable like some of the other cubs. But he was glad that she wasn’t looking all sad and upset anymore.
An adventure even sounded like it might be fun. Much more fun than tag or hide and seek. And she knew…a new place? One that mother…or well, her mother, had told her about?
”Really?” Anwar was definitely interested now, and it showed in the touch of eagerness that tinged his tone, “I want to see,” he agreed when she said it was really cool, eyes brightening at the idea of finding a new place. True, it wasn’t a secret for him to hoard and hide, but still. Knowledge was knowledge, and sharing it with a sibling wasn’t the end of the world at all. “Show me?”

Pari was more than excited to start adventuring. She didn't get that many chances to wander around, and if her brother liked to adventure around then that was more than a perfect reason to get out and go wandering. She really did want to check out that place her mother told her about, and she had been wanting to go there ofr a while but she couldn't find some one to take her over there, she didn't want to go alone. No way did she want to go some where alone she didn't want her daddy to come out of no where and she get in trouble. then again her daddy was probably off doing some kind of big pride thing that she wasn't allowed to know about.
She nodded to him before bumpping her head gently against his. "Yeah really!" She giggled again before flicking her hair ouf of her eyes then starting to trot toward the place that she knew it was at "Of course I will show you." she paused for a moment trying to think about which was it was. She remembered her mom saying what was in the cool place. It was a series of tunnels near the lake, her mom said that she used to play there when she was a cub. Pari thought it sounded like a good place to hang out at. Her mom said that the tunnels were just big enough for a but. That sounded like a awesome place. "Follow meee." She giggled again as she started to trot along.

Alright, an adventure was probably quite worth losing that fascinating bug for. Learning about a new place was awesome, he could hardly wait to see. And his sister looked to be just as excited as he felt. This wouldn't be too bad, spending a little bit of time with her wouldn't be bad. She was happy because of it, and he got to see something new. Win win.
Anwar watched her as she flicked hair out of her eyes and looked around. She did know where it was, didn't she? She said she knew...
"Okay," he responded, his tone very nearly bright and excited as he trotted off after her, not wanting to somehow get left behind. Now that they were going to have an adventure, he didn't want to lose her. Adventures, and seeing new placing and learning about new stuff, was much much better than playing tag or some other pointless thing like that...

Pari flicked her tail around a little more before she puffed her chest out and started walking with a proud march. She felt so good that she managed to get her brother to follow her and also she was going to spend some time with him. She looked around as she walked picking out land marks that he mother told her to look for when finding the burrows that she now wanted to find. She trotted a little faster as she walked "We're almost there!" She giggled as she looked back at her brother a large excited smile was on her face as she was walking.
She paused for a moment before she walked a little faster she pushed her way through the bushes before wiggling around as she could spot some holes in the ground, they all looked big enough for a cub. "Look!" She giggled as she ran toward her half brother and nudged him before then licking his maw. "It's a bunch of cool holes. Mama said she found them a while ago." She bumped him. "Don't they look fun?" she asked curiously, she hoped that her brother liked the spot.
