As she spent her days bickering and silently protesting all this treatment from Zulaica, Elarinya wasn't all too keen on the whole harem aspect. The idea didn't suit her very well and the ideals the males held were very sexist. But she had learned that her Pad, Yusri'Khalil, could have a temper at times and it was best not to bring out that temper for if she did, it did not let her sit very well. With a sigh, what a predicament she had come to live in. It wasn't what she had envisioned at all. She had imagined herself to be swept off of her paws by the one she loved....but that never happened. Nor could it happen with her current situation.
As she was not allowed to wander far from her Pad's quarters without the supervision of either himslef or accompanied by another female of the harem, she was stuck here. Might as well get comfortable, she reckoned silently as she stretched out underneath a tree and kept her eyes trained on the horizon. What she wouldn't give to live the life she wanted...but it would never happen so she just had to stop thinking about that, she chided herself quietly as she shook her head. Such thoughts would upset her, and then upset Yusri which would benefit Zulaica instead. And she wanted nothing more than to keep the favor she had going right now....
Her vision of the area started to blur before it slowly faded away into a brighter, more vivid area. And she knew instantly that this was a vision, a premonition of what was to come. She knew this for the very fact that she was in this vision, but she was not alone. She was surrounded by little bodies...cubs! Her eyes widen in surprise as the cubs had her very intricate markings with the green colors of both her and Yusri. The sight made her heart melt slightly as she would very much so, love to have cubs. They were so innocent...so precious! She tried to reach out to nuzzle one but couldn't as she just remembered that this was a vision and not real....or at least, not yet!
Then, her eyes widen in surprise as she saw both Nasha and Zulaica as well, both with two different expressions on their face. Nasha was very happy while Zulaica look positively furious. It was when she tried to hear everything that was being said that the vision started to dissolve right before her eyes until her current scenery came into view. That's when something started to swell up inside of her. A feeling...power, perhaps? Did this mean that she was to have cubs before Zulaica? Oh! It looked so, as there were no other green cubs around and Zulaica, in her vision, didn't appear to have any of the signs of pregnancy or a current birth. If that was the case, then she would have to safely guard this secret as well as flaunt it to the other lioness. Oh, she could only scarcely imagine how this would infuriate Zulaica, especially if the other lioness was to become her Pad's Beybanu, which, deep down, she had a feeling would happen as she did not want the responsibilities of the other females, as well as taking the blame for the other's failures. That would not sit well with her at all.
Armed with this newfound vision, she felt herself become more elated by the passing minutes and it got even better as she spotted her Pad's figure coming into view. Might as well make this vision a reality sooner, rather than later!

After getting reacquainted with a few Pads of the pride, Yusri'Khalil found himself deeply disturbed by various aspects of the pride. There were so many males he did not recognized and a few of them, he felt were too soft towards their females. His females knew their place, he made sure of that though his newest female was proving to be quite a task in breaking of her previous and dangerous ways. Not that he minded the challenge, afterall.
His den came closer to view as he spotted said lioness awaiting for his arrival. Now what was this? It wasn't common for Elarinya to be awaiting for his return as it would have been more customary of Zulaica or even Nasha to be awaiting for him. Perhaps the pair was out helping another Banu and Elarinya decided to stay behind? No matter, so long as they were here and not wandering off and getting into trouble, that was what mattered the most.
He came towards the lovely lioness and looked her over. She was quite the catch, he admitted silently to himself. Even though should could be stubborn and willful at times, it was worth it in the ends as he could only imagine the cubs that she'd give him. With a flick of his tail he stood before her, "What a pleasant surprise to see you here, Elarinya! What do I owe the pleasure of setting my eyes on my lovely Banu so early?"

The look on her Pad's face made her inwardly cringe. How could he be so conceited? She wasn't here just for him, she was here for herself and herself only! It made her feel slightly sick to her stomach to think that she was doing this, degrading herself just to throw it in the other Banu's face. But this world was either to eat or be eaten and she'd rather be in the latter category afterall.
With a soft, purring voice she kept her eyes shielded as she looked at his paws and not directly into his face. "Nasha and Zulaica are out at the moment and I did not want to disobey your order for us to go out alone. So I awaited here for your arrival...and I had hoped to wish you a welcome greeting first." Think of the outcome, think of the outcome, she chanted on the inside.

As his Banu kept her eyes on the ground, he couldn't see what was going on in that mind of hers. He knew she was far from being demure and shy, this was very much unlike her. But he amused her by going along with her little game. It was like giving a bone to a cub, afterall. That's all females were, cubs that never grew up and needed the careful guidance of the males or else chaos will ensue.
"That is very wise of you for the punishment for disobeying my order would not have been something to look forward to." He clipped the ending to emphasize his point.
Two could play this game. He reached his paw forward to bring her chin upward so that he could look into her eyes. The scar made him angry. Who would mar such a beauty as this female? It drove him crazy, drove him wild that she was not fully perfect but yet, still so beautiful. He strained to keep his emotions in check as the last thing he needed was to confuse the lioness even more than she already was. Even if she didn't show it, he could tell that she was still not comfortable with her new home and he's just have to rectify that.
"I do not think that is all that you wanted, Elarinya. I am neither dumb nor dense, so do not play me as such." He chided her, awaiting her response.

As much as she wanted to resist his touch, she knew that it would bring more questions than answers along with a swift full of claws. But what surpriesd her the most were his words. Had did he know? Was she that easy to read...or he is playing her, trying to get to know her so that he can break her just like those other Banus of his. No, she would not be broken that easily. She would retain her freedom, her wild spirit, her heart that she would never give him!
She kept her face neutral as she replied, "Forgive me, I did not mean to insult you as such, my Pad." She raised her eyes to look at him. If this was any other circumstance, she could find herself liking this male...maybe even falling in-love. But at this point in time? Not ever!
"A vision took a hold of me as I laid here under the shade of the tree. A vision, which you will like very much, my Pad," She paused to recollect her thoughts to leave out some minor details before telling him, "It was of the future. Your whole harem was there and you were surrounded by cubs. Lots of cubs." Purposely leaving out the details of gender and who the mother is.

Now he was getting somewhere with her, he felt rather pleased with himeslf. Out of his three Banus, Elarinya was the most complicated...the one who he liked to look at but at the same time, had to keep on firmer paw on considering her background.
Ears perked forward curiously as she apologized before continuing with what was on her mind. And this, piqued his curiosity. A vision! Oh, he knew of her powers right from the beginning as that is how the two had met. When the lioness was having a vision and he arrived on the scene. But enough about the past, the present and future were more important! And when she said that it was something good, he was getting slightly impatient before his breath was caught.
Cubs! Oh! What a glorious day that would be! To see the seeds of his legacy, his family's legacy, live on in new cubs that would be taught the correct ways of this world! His facial features soften slightly at the news before he questioned her, "Who had the cubs? What did they look like? Did I have many males?"

It was like dangling a treat in front of a cub, this was easy she surmised happily. His reaction is what she had anticipated as she replied quickly, as to not seem like she was forging the details or keeping information from her Pad. The last thing that she wanted was get on his bad side and lose his favor for another of his Banus!
"Visions are fickle and sometimes not very clear. I couldn't make out the genders, but it did appear like you had an even amount of both genders. As for the mother, I couldn't really tell you as they looks so much like you!" Lie after lie, she had to keep some information to herself. It would be her trump card over Zulaica afterall! And this made her smile softly to her Pad, as to not have him suspect anything more than what she told him.

While he couldn't verify her story, he had to take what she was saying as fact. As much as he wanted to know the powers that she possessed, it was her's alone and nothing he could do would make him have those kind of visions. With a nod, he took it at that. "That is good news, something I will very much look forward to then, Elarinya." At least, he could be proud that his family would grow. And then, he could build his ties within the pride as he would gift the females to those males who desired to have them.
He was lost in thought for a moment before he turned his attention back towards Elarinya. Was he being too hard on her because of her background? No. He brushed that thought away. Females were deceiving, just like his mind was tricking him! This is why they were dangerous by themselves! They could use powers unbeknownst to him to get their ways. And that, would cause chaos.
With Elarinya in his vision, she was such a prize that he couldn't help but to boast proudly of her and his other females. They were the prettiest and well-suited for him, even their little quirks were endearing at times and he considered himself very lucky. Had she been born into the pride, she would be much more agreeable in demeanor but that would change who she is, he reasoned with himself quietly. All the matter, she was here and he had to make her his in a different manner than his other two Banus.
That in mind, he brought muzzle forward to touch her scar gently. It made him angry just seeing it there, marring her near perfect complexion. While Nasha's were of a different sort, Elarinya's scars did not blind her eye, it was not that deep. He growled softly under his breath with a slightly possessive undertone, "No one shall mar you again."

His touch was feathery light to his face as she could feel the wall she put up around herself crumble just a little. This was a side she didn't get to see all too often. A caring, if not slightly possessive side that he kept to himself and didn't share with his harem. He was sweet and kind at times, but there was a different to this raw tenderness. It made her almost want to reach up to nuzzle him back. Almost was the key word as she restrained herself.
Think of the future! Do not succumb to your silly whims of love! She yelled at herself angrily. How could she feel such a thing for this male. Sure, he was handsome and had many sides, but this was not for her! She blinked before she turned her head from his gaze.

Not sure what was going through Elarinya's mind at the moment, he knew something was up as her eyes showed many emotions. Perhaps she was in a turmoil at the moment and he was unsure of what she was thinking. This did not sit well with him as he wanted to know more of her. He wanted to know her inside and out. She was his lioness. His Banu and as such, he should know more about her when he doesn't. How else could he predict her thoughts and feelings if he didn't know more about her like he did with Nasha and Zulaica? Perhaps that was the problem that he was faced with?
He didn't know how else to break a lioness without being overly cruel or overly kind. And being overly kind was something he refused to do as that was not how he was brought up. Males were supposed to be strong, not emotional. That was the females' job, not his! It irked him to no end that he couldn't get through to this lioness so easily! But no matter. He would make her his, inside and out. Determination would win in the end, he just knew that it would!
When she turned her head away from him, he lost his mirror into her emotions, into her thoughts. He sat down next to her and reached over to nudge her softly, "I am sure that you feel inprisoned here all alone, but I assure you that it is for the best. Just imagine the trouble you could have gotten into had I not taken you from that hostile place? I can promise you this, you shall never endure any pain or loneliness here, Elarinya. As a Pad, it is my job to watch over all my Banus and to make sure that their needs are met to the best of my ability while you do the same for me. It is a two way system and if you don't try to put in your all, then you are just losing out more in the end." Maybe reason would get through to the lioness instead of emotion. Rather, the reason and logic that he grew up thinking as this was the pride's way of thought and how it makes thing right in the world.

His prescence so near made her feel overwhelmed. She didn't want his affection or his attention! Go away and give it to Zulaica, she wants it more than me, she screamed in her mind while she kept calm. No. She had to do this. She had to beat Zulaica in her own game, even if she had to give up a little in the process.
And then his words arose an anger from deep within her as they clashed with her morals. Her ideals of freedom! "For the best?! How do you know it is for the best when you don't know anything about anyone other than yourself?! If it is for the best, then why are the females so worthless that we are here for nothing but to be your slaves and provide cubs for you?! Tell me that, Yusri'Khalil! I did not agree to this kind of life nor can I just sit back and let you tell me what I am losing. You know nothing but of this twisted reality that you call your pride!" She blew up. She knew she should have but his words had grated on her last nerve and she couldn't stand it for any longer as all her emotions overran her logic and just spilled out of her as her eyes widen slightly at her outburst.

Well, now he was getting somewhere! Although, he was slapped in the face at her outburst. So this is what she was really thinking? Well then, he had a lot of work on his paws then. But this would not be dealt with lightly!
He growled a warning at her as he moved to pin the lioness to the ground. With his body on top of her, he brought his face close to hers as he snarled the words in a deadly tone, "I will not allow such talk to be thrown in my face! Elarinya, you know nothing of this pride and its ideals than what you twist to make it bad in your eyes. You should get to know everything before you make a decision on the matter," He paused to narrow his eyes at her. He was so frustrated at this moment! "You want to know why females are not allowed high positions? It is because females are the root to all problems! You have this power over males that is something unforseen and very dangerous. That is why we are your providers and your protectors. Without us to guide you on the right path, you will use that power to bring chaos into the order that we have established."
His tail thrashed angrily behind his body as he looked down at the lioness before getting off her with a growl.

Caught by surprise as she was pinned to the ground. She did not resist at the least, for it would just anger her Pad further and wouldn't dod her any good. She had to admit, some of his words were true. She had not given this pride enough time or had kept an open mind about the ideals of the pride. But it was hard to when she was taken without knowing all the information behind her new home. And it just didn't sit well with her.
Nevertheless, she was rather ashamed with her outburst as she just laid there in a submissive pose. Her ears were flat against her head as she spoke softly, "Forgive me, you are right. I have not given this pride a chance at all."

His eyes were trained on the submissive posture of the lioness as he felt slightly remorse, but she was just so stubborn! Something had to get through that thick skull of hers afterall! Sooner better than later though! He shook his head softly and reached over to nose her cheek in acceptance of her apology.
"Come now, that look doesn't suit you at all Elarinya. Perhaps I wasn't being as far to you as I should have been. You are not used to this place as my other Banus and need more time to adjust. If you promise me that you go outside the pride territory or bother any of the other Pads, I will let you go by yourself to get acquainted with the pride." He looked at her and hoped she would take his compromise. It wouldn't do to have unhappy Banus in his harem.

What was this? Scolding her and then giving her a reward because he admitted to something wrong? Oh how this conversation is just a huge rollercoaster ride. Well, she didn't want to see ungrateful and be on his bad side for long as she needed his favor afterall.
She slowly perked her ears forward as she kept her head down while looking at him with such a surprise expression spread across her face. She could do that, try and see what this pride was all about. Maybe...just maybe, she might find some good in it. Or at least, something she could tolerate while living here! A nod, "I...thank you, Yusri."
