To begin this tale, I must let you know that what you are about to read can be very sad, depressing, and make you want to just tear your hair out in frustration and madness. But also, you will warmed to some extent with this story, for it is real and brutal, with blossoms of friendship, family kindness, and the true feelings of a child. This story is about the hardships and life of a young woman, and while be sectioned off in parts of memory, throughout her young life.
The main character, young Ellen Grey, is often described as a strong, independent teenager at the moment, often viewed as out going, strong willed, and easy to talk with. But, at the age of 15, she wasn't always like this. Before she was described as so, she was very shy and scared, unable to open up to anyone, always stole, even from her own mother, getting banned from two stores from stealing.
Something you need to understand, all throughout Ellen's life, her mother has tried again and again to make her happy, and has, in some points, succeeded. To her mother, whom we shall name Alexa for the time being, her children, Ellen and her two siblings, are everything. She would give her life for her children, and Ellen doesn't start to understand this until she is about the age of 10.
How about I describe Ellen for you first, look wise. In her early stages, she has dark brown hair, cropped to a bob, ridiculious bangs that framed her face, eyes that were a mix of blue and green, fair skin that every child has, freckles painted on her face, and she was always on the heavy side. Not extremely heavy, but she would never be a size 2 in her life.
