I'm kind'a pissed. We were supposed to get 7-11 inches, the first snow storm of the season. Before I went to bed, The storm warning had been extended to 6 PM tonight, meaning even more snow than that... We've even lost power several times last night.

And no freaking snow day to show for it. I was really hoping to sleep in, and I couldn't. It even took me 15 minutes to get the internet to run to check the local school closing.

I'm pretty disappointed, more so than I've been in a significant amount of time, which is saying a lot considering what I've been through recently. This snow day seemed to top everything, I don't know why.

EDIT: The radio station even says we took the brunt of the storm! mad

I hear you.

I'm in Boise and we had some weather the past 3 days. As much as 6 inches of snow fell in the valley, causing all sorts of hell. Most of which was due to the inability of people to drive according to the physics involved.

Then there is the cold. Three days of temperatures in the teens, plunging as low as -12 overnight. Yet business goes on. The upside is there have been no power outages.

The good news here is the cold will end over the next day, bringing us back up to near 32 degrees in the daytime. And to cap this all off, we're due to get another big storm beginning Friday night. Winter is here, baby.

That stinks. Tomorrow shows promise again, though.

We had at least 2 power outages last night. = /

High of 56 today, low of 35. It's ******** COLD out today (trust me, the humidity difference chops off an addition ten degrees, plus we don't have Phoenix's cement-and-asphalt heat island to keep us warm so the forecasts are always high). Monday it poured like a ********... my rain gauge showed an inch and a half, and that took all day to come down, so it really soaked into the ground. Around seven, half the COUNTY lost power for at least ten minutes, some parts (like my girlfriend's house) didn't get it back until the wee hours of the morning. I go outside Tuesday... literally not a cloud in the sky.

It's somewhere near 4 degrees, I have at least 3-4 inches of snow, and I don't even go to school.

Louisiana weather has been stupid lately. Little bit of snow a couple days ago, then heat and rain the last two or three days, and now it's in the thirties.

BAHAHAHHAHA!

The high school and middle school I went to barely ever closed because of a snow storm. They just didn't want to close I guess, like they were trying to beat a record or win an award or some s**t.

It took, 4" of snow, on top of 2-3" of slush on top of a layer of ice with snow still falling to cancel school.
Even then, I over heard several buses getting stuck over the radio and ours just sat there and spun tires until we got traction at every stop.
Picked up 4 or 5 people before they finally canceled.

Now, we weren't in the city so maybe, 1 person every two blocks, so we covered some distance before the bus was finally given the OK to turn around.
