listening to Pandora Radio (my S.O.A.D one to be specific) and Korn's cover of Kidnap The Sandy Claws (from the Nightmare Revisited soundtrack from Nightmare Before Christmas) and i swear, i think the song was made with a Korn cover in mind O.o

being a bassist, i love their bass lines XD (though i also love their guitar, they come up with some interesting sounds to say the least)

I've never been much a fan of Korn. >> I still don't really like them. And I'm not really digging this cover. I don't know what it was, but during the part where they sing "kidnap the Santy Claws" in the beginning there's someone's voice in there that makes me twitch. It sticks out. Bothers me. I've heard this album is good though, I think I may listen to some of the other covers.
(Korn fans don't be offended, plz. I've never liked screaming in my music and/or metal.)

I have been listening to Nightmare Before Christmas Revisited album for the past two days now. Love Amy Lee's rendition of Sally, AND against the popular trend actually like both FlyLeaf's cover and the AAR cover

holy crap, didnt know that the Yoshida Brothers also did a cover (an instrumental obviously) O.o
I had very low hopes for this. Since I've had severe issues with Korn ever since I first heard their "Creep" cover (I feelt like someone was brutaly murdering the poor song and then violating it after it's death D= ) But huh. This cover is pretty decent. Not the best thing ever or anything but still. It's an interesting take on it, still like the original better, but yah. Still interesting. I had only heard Amy Lee's an Mansons cover from this CD, now I'm tempted to check out the rest.
(Liked the last TNBD cover CD though, I found She Wants Revenge take on Kidnap the Sandy Claws to be quircky and interesting. Hated the cover of Sally's song on that one though. Since that Fiona Apple sounded freaking dead singing a song that should have emotions goddarnit)

Have to agree with you. I really like Amy Lee's version. So much better then the last cover version of which sounded like the chick singing it was bored or dead.
And I just listened too the AAR cover and FlyLeaf's
The AAR cover was full of charm that suited the song well :] (of course nothing beats the original but still.) I really like the music, it was so darn quircky and odd, and the vocals were nice too, liked the quircky little way he said "France"
And FlyLeaf's version was bouth vey beautifull and despite not being as 'persky' as too fit the songs atmosphere it still managed too sort of get that curious feeling through.
I liked 'em :] And I'm pretty darn vicious when it comes to covers of songs I like. (Again, I'll never really be okey with Korn after what they did too Creep)
