You will want to unsee it.

Apparently the 1911 had to earn the right to be something that's much younger than it.

ArmasTermin There's nothing even Desert Eagle about it! scream Exactly! It's not even in .50 AE or .357, it's still in .45! My main grief though is the 'we're better than a 100 year old design'

Seriously, WHAT THE ********! The 1911 had to EARN the name "Desert Eagle"?! Are you ******** KIDDING ME?! Magnum Research needs to just ******** die. They're a bunch of overrated ******** with overinflated egos who think that they're the greatest thing to happen to the firearms industry since smokeless powder because gangbangers and teenagers masturbate to their overpriced, overrated piece of s**t pistol that is the Desert Eagle. What's worse- read Strelok's comment about the 1911. Besides that f*****t, the general reaction is the same as mine- do not slap the Desert Eagle name on the 1911.

Desert Eagle 1911 is ******** out of the question. Magnum Research 1911 is a completely acceptable, but there's not one ******** thing DEagle about it. Though a 1911 in .50AE might be interesting. I'd like to see that.

I don't see too many posts by him. Or are you thinking of STALKER? The guy who open carries a Nagant revolver. Duke nukem or is it nuke dukem? One of those is a f*****t too, although some things he says I agree with.

But still, that Magnum Research > Colt 1911 is pure asshatory. If I wasn't so far away from Minneapolis I would consider driving down there and telling them what for.

I loved the linked article from that page. It almost undid the evil I experienced when I realized that DE was going to defame our most treasured and honored military handguns. Kaboom!

OberFeldwebel But still, that Magnum Research > Colt 1911 is pure asshatory. MR > Colt? I could believe that. Really, the DEagle's problems are all inherent flaws of the design. The DEagle was an experiment, really. It's gas-operated, it uses a unique loading system, it has an AR-like bolt... it's an interesting design. Sure, when you put it all together it's a pile of junk, but it was really more of a "look what we can make" gun than a gun that was ever designed for a specific purpose... just like the Gyrojet. Then the fanboys found it, and the .50AE round dodged a legislative bullet, unlike the 13mm Gyrojet. INSTANT CELEBRITY. And the only reason MR still makes it is because the sonofabitch SELLS. They go like hotcakes, and they can charge whatever they want for it. Because of all the fanboys, the Desert Eagle is a license to print money. I can't blame Magnum Research for making the DEagle... in their shoes, I would too. I still blame them for this particular debacle, though.

When it's got the 'my gun's bigger than yours' thing and multiple video games and tons of movies that feature it in such a way. Anyway, I should be happy that the 1911 doesn't have such a huge faggy fanbase. There'd be 1911s with gold tiger striping rails everywhere and nickle/chrome plated boolitz. ... But I guess if MR is going to be making 1911s now, that will be a reality.
