Well Microsoft is finally might push this platform a little further by offering a similar service as Steam. The nice thing about this client is that you can use your Microsoft Points and link it to your Xbox LIVE account. A small selection at the moment but it is growing and they just added a few arcade games: Where's Waldo, World of Goo, and 2 others.

Also, there is a free game to download: Tinker. Its a neat little arcade game. 15 Achievements and for a total of 200 gamerscore points to achieve.

I possibly may pick up World of Goo for 10 bucks, since I don't see it coming to XBLA anytime soon.

XBL works on Xbox and Xbox 360 and has a lot of stuff in it.

As of now, Games for Windows LIVE is just bare minimum of the services the 360 offers. The nice thing about having Xbox LIVE and having a PC is that you can have the best of both worlds with the whole LIVE service. Your games, your friends, email, and achievements are all in one service.

The funny thing right now is that you can get double the achievements with PC and 360 games. Right now my gf has 360 achievements for the 360 copy of Fallout 3, and is getting them again on the PC. So atm it shows 2 copies of achievements with no way to distinguish which one is for what platform.
