Like Forums?

Not gaia or avatar forums. But do you like forums as just...regular forums?

I just joined a new forum recently and realized that I seem to mainly enjoy forums with avatars. If its without those game avatars (where you dress up) then there's gotta be something more too it. Like post and you get points!
Like animepapers.net for example.

Meh. I tend to visit forums every now and then, but I don't typically post in them. This is the only forum site I actually do anything on.

There's very few I actually go to. Most boards I go to, aside from Gaia, are for games I play and am serious about getting better at.

Gaia is my most active forum too.

Most non-avatar forums that I've found or heard of are more subject specific, and I can't think of a subject that I'd want to join a forum to discuss.

lol Everyone seems to be the same.
I remember when I was smaller I enjoyed specifically a sailor moon forum. But now-a-days if I join a forum it's either and asian music or movie forums or something.

It's true that most forums are all based on just one single subject.
