Jvalana was bored. It happened a lot, and not even because of a short attention span. Just because she didn't particularly hold any of the entertainment provided for her that...well, entertaining. She'd been and watched a few duels, but they'd all been the same - too much brawn, not enough brain. Lana liked watching battles that involved outwitting your opponent. The kind where you had to think ahead, anticipate your opponents next move...not the pathetic flailing of limbs she had been seeing.

She sighed, trotting towards the nearby watering hole with disdain. Lowering her head, she took a few sips, tail waving in the air behind her. It was nice and cool, a welcome respite from the hot, searing sun in the sky above. Lana felt the heat moreso than others, with her dark coloured coat...but it was a price she was willing to pay. After all, her dark coat was what made her so pretty! Smiling at the thought, she hopped gracefully up onto her favourite rock, settling herself down, purring contentedly as she began to sun herself.

A scowl was on his face as Canicus move across the dunes. His siblings were so annoying! Constantly wanting this or that, he just had to get away from them. He loved his mothers very much, they meant the world to him along with his uncle who came to visit and brought them dinner every night. He had a nice, loving family but they could be overwhelming at times!

He wasn't going anywhere in particular, he had no destination in mind. So when the watering hole came into view, he decided to go over there.

Kairi
Lana's purrs softened, getting a little quieter as she settled down into a contented nap. It was soon interrupted by the sound of paws treading on ground, Lana opening one eye lazily, staring at the strange cub below. She hadn't seen him before! Interest perked, the lionness opened her other eye, stretching herself out with a small groan before standing, leaping down just as gracefully.

She approached the stranger with a sweet, charming smile, eye brights and alert, "Hi.

Kir
Just as he had gotten close towards the water something leapt forward and gotten in his way. His first instinct was to crouch down and hiss in annoyance. Who would dare get in his way?!

His eyes narrowed slightly as he let his posture loosen while he looked at the cub before him. It wasn't one of his siblings, thankfully! But it was also a cub he didn't know at all. If it wasn't for her sweet smile he would have greeted her but decided that he didn't want to waste a breath on her and walked towards the water to take a few laps without greeting her.

Lana blinked. ...Did he just ignore her? But no-one ignored her! All the boys she'd met, including those twice her age, had commented on how pretty she was! Whether it was in a 'pretty girlfriend' or 'pretty daughter' way didn't matter, as long as the word 'pretty' was included! A little stunned, Lana's mouth fell open, though she soon composed herself again, shaking her head and trotting after the lion, drawing herself up beside him, where he was drinking.

"It's rude to ignore people, y'know," she growled softly, not at all impressed, "You should be more polite.

Kir
An ear flicked as he heard her voice. Ugh, how annoying! He tried to ignore her presence but she wouldn't leave it seems.

Once he was done drinking his fill he turned around to get a full view of the cub. "Don't you know anything about personal space."

Kairi
Ugh, how rude! Lana's ears flattened against her head, her expression clearly showing how unimpressed she was. "Don't you know anything about manners?"

She shook her head, somewhat in disbelief at how a cub could be so rude. Didn't parents teach their cubs anything these days? She sighed, rolling her eyes, before forcing a smile again. "Let's start over. I'm Jvalana."

Kir
At her displeased manner he couldn't help but be glad on the inside. Finally, maybe she would leave him alone! He didn't want to spend any time with anyone anyway. But to no avail, she was still here and still talking.

At her question he hissed, "I know manners to those that deserve it." Not at all wanting to know anything else he turned to head somewhere else when she started talking again. Didn't she know he wanted nothing to do with her?! He turned around to look at her, "I didn't think I asked for your name, now did I? In case I haven't made it clear let me spell it out for you, I don't want any company so leave me be." Maybe that'd get her off his tail.

Kairi
Those that deserve it! She scoffed, offended. "What have I done to not deserve simple manners!?" she demanded before she could properly think things through, the fiery temper she'd gained from her father beginning to seep through. You know what, she'd just leave. She didn't want to be in the company of such a horrible spoiled brat.

Oh no, wait. He wanted her to leave. Well she couldn't very well leave now, could she, or it looked like she was being weak and compliant! She hissed back, stalking after him, determined to be a nuisance now, "I was showing manners, because I thought you deserved them. Clearly I'm wrong. You're as illmannered as some pathetic Huria."

Kir
Just as he was heading off, hopeful for some peace and quiet, the sound of paws hitting the sand reached his ears. Good gosh, this female was persistent! Didn't she have any brains? Did he not clearly tell her to leave him alone? He did it nicely too! He could have done it the mean way, which he should have done in the first place then.

Ears flat against his head as he didn't spare her a glance while he replied, "Maybe my siblings would like to play with you. They seem to like annoying and persistence, it would seem." Scoffing off her "insult" to him as it didn't phase him at all...couldn't she think of something better?

Kairi
He could at least look at her! Lana hissed lightly, about to lash out and swat him with a paw, before be mentioned his siblings. What? What was he even trying to do? She continued hissing, before finally shifting her weight towards him, 'causing her to stumble into him, pretty much nudging him with her whole body. Maybe that would get his attention. "Hey! Sto being so rude, dumbass!"

Kir
Since his suggestion didn't seem to do the trick he was about to make a retort until he felt weight crashing into him. What the hec---?! Snarling angrily, he whipped around face Lana. He looked her dead in the eye as he hissed threateningly, "I told you to leave me alone. I told you the nice way, don't make me do it the hard way."

He flicked some sand in her direction before turning to wander back in the direction he was heading, very irritated to say the least

Kairi
Lana smirked, pleased that she finally seemed to have caught his attention. A threat? She snorted, shaking her head, "Oooo, I'm quaking. I'm sooo scaaaar- HEY!" she snarled, fiery attitude finally shining through as she brushed sand from her face, glaring after him. Right, that was IT.

And so, charging after him, Lana leapt, claws outstretched, hoping to land neatly on his back.

Kir
If there had been more wind, then he wouldn't have heard Lana's charge towards him. He spurn around to leap at her, claws outstretched as well. When they met midway, his body crashed into her as he snarled angrily. Stupid, annoying female!

He lashed out a few times at Lana, not at all caring where he got so long as it connected to skin. Perhaps if he had been a bit more forceful in the beginning this wouldn't have had come to this. The last thing he wanted was to waste more energy when he just wanted time to himeself. Was that so hard to ask for?! Huh!? His eyes narrowed angrily, his thoughts fueling his anger.

Kairi
Lana wasn't expecting him to turn, and only snarled louder as they collided mid-air. OW, this hurt a lot more than she'd intended! Despite the pain, however, she lashed out, claws out and scratching furiously at whatever she could reach, the lionness merely concentrating on causing as much pain as possible. Stupid, rude, idiotic boys! They were all the same!

Kir
He felt her claws connect to skin as he stung in various places all over his body. This just annoyed him even more. He sneered as he lunged for her, "Only a Huria would charge towards a lion with his back turned as that is a weakling move. If you were a true Firekin, you'd charge at me while looking me dead in the eye."

Just as she was trying to cause him as much pain as possible, so was he. Whatever he could claw at, he'd make sure to do so. Maybe that'd teach her to be better and leave him ALONE!

Kairi
Lana hissed furiously, her short temper frayed as she scratched and kicked and bit whatever she could. "Shut UP! It's your fault for being so RUDE!"

But when his back leg connected hard with her stomach, a claw lodging in and drawing downwards in a long, luckily shallow scratch, she couldn't help but whimper. With one particularly hard kick, she backed off with a whine, limping on one paw from where it had also sustained an injury. Despite the whines, however, her glare was evident, and she was furiously trying not to cry.

Kir
He felt his back leg connect with her stomach as her whimper made his face light up. So he had gotten her afterall. Finally! Maybe she'd then listen to him to leave him alone. He didn't want to do it the hardway but it had come down to it, afterall.

As she backed off, he took a few steps back as well to some distance between the two of them. He was heaving slightly, trying to get more air into his lungs after that little spat.

He matched her glare with one of his own as he replied, "You thought I was being rude just because I didn't give you attention? That's sad! I was already annoyed so the best course of action would have been to keep quiet and say nothing rather than to say something that would be regretted later. But no! Your annoying, persistent nature decided to step in and follow me even after I told you to leave me alone!"

Kairi
Lana's breathing was heavy also, her chest rising and falling as each breath took effort, Lana remaining silent for a while to merely concentrate on getting the oxygen to her lungs. She shuffled on the spot, trying to get comfortable, but finding it difficult with only three feet, so instead deciding to sit, holding her injured paw close to her chest.

"I was just trying to be nice! What the hell did I do to annoy you, all I did was say 'hi'!? Geez, if you're so easily annoyed you're gonna have difficulty in life." she hissed

Kir
As he breathed he could feel the sting of the cuts from Lana. Well good, guess it's a first start on a long road of pain and misery he mused unhappily. What did he do to deserve this?

He glanced down at the sand, seeing little splats of blood from him and sighed unhappily. Oh his mothers are going to be very unhappy with him, especially when they find out he fought a girl on top of that!

Ears against his head, "Who attacked me first!" He stood up, winced slightly and turned his head away from Lana, "I am leaving now. I request that you do not follow me and leave me alone. If you want someone to play with, go find my brother Fin or Akamu. They'd be more than happy to play with you." He walked away from her, albeit a bit more slowly with his scratches from Lana.

Kairi
Lana watched as he glanced down, glancing down herself. The sand below her stomach was splattered red, and she grumbled. Papa wouldn't be happy - he'd probably want to hurt whoever did it. Perhaps it was a good thing she didn't know his name, after all. She growled softly at the accusation, but make no remark back since it was true - she did attack him first. But he'd provoked her!

"...Fine." she grumbled, the names meaning nothing to her. She wasn't interested in them, not really. She liked this boy - he had spirit. Her Papa would, too, once he'd gotten over the whole fight thing. She watched as he left, about to turn, before finally shouting after him, "Can I at least know your name? Otherwise I'll make some stupid, embarrassing one up!"

Kir
Ears flicked back at her, listening to her request. His name? Oh right! He had never given her his name. He stopped and thought for a moment whether he should or should not. After a moment, he turned to glance back at her.

She was hurt as he was, perhaps he should be a bit compassionate. And then thought better of it. No, this was all her fault, afterall! With one last glance at the dark female, he turned and continued walking away as he replied, "No. I'll give you my name when I feel like it. Just because you make one up doesn't mean I'll answer to it."

Kairi
No? ...Well, fine! She didn't want it! Grumbled somewhat, defeated and more than a little embarrassed, Lana turned without a work, leaving. She'd find out what his name was, eventually.
