Rest and relaxation were two things that Anupu didn't feel in need of. No he had slept for too long, neglected his duties for too long. Now he felt he ought to spend every moment awake, alert, but as the night slowly came upon the mortal world he returned to the haven to laze about for a while. It was nice to meet other gods and goddesses and to feel total comfort the likes of which the mortal realm did not provide.
He sprawled out on the soft ground and flipped his cape behind him. His ears remained pricked, alert and ready, but his dark blue eyes slowly slid closed as he relaxed and let his mind wander.
Slowly his wings folded close to his back and his scaled tail moved in slow slithering patterns. His breathing was even and calm but the soft movement of his lips repeating names and titles and lineages gave way that he had not fallen asleep.

The light was simply brilliant, bright enough to be easily seen through your closed eyelids, that suddenly engulfed God's Haven. The newly created goddess whose appearance had caused the flash cried out loudly in surprise as she suddenly found herself back on the mortal coil after weeks of hibernating within a ball of light. It was quite a shock. It had been warm within the cocoon the now deceased god of stars had woven for her and she'd not had to do anything more than dream...
Luckily the blinding light flash didn't last long and faded to just an aura around her before fizzling out entirely around her front paws. The new goddess of stars blinked down at them before sitting rather quickly.
The God's Haven was to her a strange new world.

It was the flash that made him jerk, he leapt to his paws and looked around startled. Normally nothing was startling in the God Haven, at least nothing he had encountered. A few things to be wary of, and surely some dangers, but none had ever made him jump.
He spotted her then a dark female in the distance and blinked walking towards her. "Hello?" He called out to her wondering if she was alright.

"Hello?" She called back.
Awkwardly, she took a moment to fold her wings in and got to her paws to walk towards the god. As she walked she got the hang of it and got back some of her grace as she crossed the distance. To move was instinctive, something even newborn antelope fawns picked up quickly.
"Greetings." Old habits from her life before made her bow her horned head to the other god before she smiled in a friendly if confused fashion. "Sorry for the light. I think that may have been me."

"It's alright, are you okay?" He headed closer and sat down before her with a smile. She looked confused, and he was quite confused as well unable to remember his own birth. He could remember his disorientation after he woke from his long sleep, but never anything like what he had just seen.
"I am Anupu God of Royalty."

"Thankyou, I'll be fine I think. I am..." What had Shahaab Malik said her new title, her new name was to be? It took a moment for her to remember. But once she had she could remember more than just her name. It was if a flood gate had opened and she brightened, more confident with her new glut of information.
"Shahaab Huruma, the new Goddess of Stars. Pleased to meet you Anupu. Perhaps you knew Shahaab Malik? He was the God of Stars before me. He mentioned royalty to me, he told me that I need to keep the stars shining for the Great Kings Of The Past."

"Ah! Pleasure to meet you, your duty is quite a noble one." Indeed he felt somewhat comforted to know that at least the stars paid tribute to those great royals that he tried to best serve. He wondered idly if she could actually keep track of all those stars in the mortal realm, he was having trouble just keeping track of all the royalty let alone every star in the sky.
"I'm afraid I didn't have much of a chance to interact with your predecessor, I was in a very deep sleep for quite some time..." Longer then he liked to consider, so much wasted time, and for what? Still he resolved himself not to linger on past mistakes. Now was the time to focus on the present and future and do his best for them.

"Were you?" She blinked, sounding surprised and wondering how long 'quite some time' was when Malik had spoken of a hundred years as feeling to him like a blink of an eye (she didn't know he'd been exaggerating, just a bit).
"Sorry that sounded rude. I'm just rather curious and bit lost... besides telling me some duties I had to preform like keeping the royal stars bright and a few messages for his family, Malik didn't really explain being a god. I don't know about sleeping long or what else we...I don't know. Please forgive my curiosity." She bobbed her again, politely.
