((this is after Maua joined the pride and before Achal left for Ban'ma))
Tsubame felt odd. She was restless but oddly tired. Achal was out doing something, the cubs were driving someone else nuts, and Maua was out hunting or some other thing. Tsu couldn't figure out why she felt so completly odd. Her life had changed for the better, now she had a family. She adored the cubs even if it seemed like lately that all they did was get on her nerves. Maua was like a sister she never had and Achal adored her. But for some strange reason it seemed like everything was just driving her insane. It wasn't even like it was any particular thing that would annoy her but a general dislike of everything.
On this day the sun was too bright, the wind did nothing but kick up dust, the den was too small, the lake was too far away, and countless other things. In reality the day was a beautiful crystal clear day without a cloud to mar the blue sky, much the same color as Achal's pelt. The wind was light and cool, relieving the oppressive heat caused by the sun. The den was just large enough to fit everyone quite comfortably with just a bit of extra space in the back, there was even dirt and rock along the walls of the back that was safe to remove if ever the den needed expanding. The lake was just far enough that a short walk would take her to the edge but not close enough to have issues if there was flooding.
Unable to sit still anymore Tusbame climbed to her feet. She did her best to stretch but it just felt like her skin was too tight, like a adult trying to put on a little shirt. She had gained weight but that was to be expected since she was finally in a place where she was able to eat regularly unlike her time spent alone in the rouge lands. She walked slowly out of the den, no hind of the limp that plagued her for weeks even after she healed completly. It still returned when she was tired or had been on her paws all day long.
Once out side Tsu looked around her. The few trees that sheltered the den were too close and the grass that spread out into the distance was too much. The lake was too far away and no one was around for her to complain to. That last thought made her pause, she had never verbally complained at all. She might have thought of things that were wrong but she never spoke such things out loud as they might get Achal in trouble. Where did these thoughts come from? Tsu had no idea but just thinking such things made her irritable.
Not knowing what else to do she wandered a little way from the den to a tree that was heavily scared. This was the tree that Tsu took her frustrations out on, even though it did not normally happen often. For some reason the past week has made her come more and more frequent to this tree, this poor defenseless tree, and release the stress that had built up over the day.
Her claws were out and she was ready to once more dig her sharp nails into the tender bark of the poor unfortunate tree but as she raised her right front paw she turned it ever so slightly so the beginning of the dark mark, that slashed across her pad, was visible. No longer feeling the urge to strike out with her claws she retracted them and with a sigh placed her forehead against the tree.

With a whispered apology to the tree Tsu turned her back on it and walked back to the den. Back at the den she found that she was still restless but not as irritated as she was before she went to her tree. Trying to blow off steam she started to pace in the shade of a near by tree but it wasn't long before she found herself tiring. Tsu couldn't figure out why she tiring so quickly when a few weeks before she could easy be running about all day and only feel pleasantly sleepy, now she felt like she could sleep the day through and still be tired. Flopping down on the grass she silently tries to figure out what in the world was going on.
Unable to determine what seemed to be the problem Tsu shrugged it off as the newness of Maua and the cubs and the pride even though these issues didn't seem to arise when Tsu first came to the pride, or even when Maua first joined Achal's harem. Her mind still trying to come up with answers, Tsu put her head down on her front paws and in between one blink and the next she was asleep.
The next thing she knew Tsu woke up with a odd feeling that something kicked her in her side, granted it was very light but still. There was no one around her or the den, no odd smells in the air, and judging by the sun it was not long since she closed her eyes. Still uncertain that she hadn't dreamed the whole thing she looked down at her side where she could have sworn that something kicked her, or maybe it was pushed, or moved? There was nothing on her fur around her stomach, no dust or grass, nothing to see.
Figuring the sensation of movement on or around her stomach was a dream, Tsu just shrugged it off and once more got to her feet. Still feeling like her skin was too small she stretched a bit before wandering around the small area around the den. She still had the same issue that she woke up with, antsy but nothing to explain it. She would go hunting but it seemed that every time she went out lately to go hunting she couldn't sit still for long enough. She should go watch the cubs but she knew that right then that they would run her ragged chasing after them and answering question after question. She could go find Achal but he was likely talking to another pad or even the Sultan himself.
With her tail thrashing in renewed irritation, this time with herself, Tsubame stalked to the den. With nothing better to do she could at least move some of the excess dirt from the den and the few rocks that always seem to find there way back in. It normally didn't take long to do that but in her cleaning she started to dig into the dirt against the back wall with her claws. Every time it piled up she pushed it out or used it to fill in holes where rocks once were. It wasn't long before she started to hitting thin webbing of tree roots from the nearest tree, Tsu knew it was time to stop then since it was not all that safe to continue.
As she turned and surveyed the mess she made she realized that she had done more then she meant and now the den that comfortable for the eight of them was now quite a bit larger. The entrance was still the same if a touch wider but the back end was much wider and leveled out after the slight slop of the entrance. Not daring to touch the walls anymore Tsu pushed what was left of the dirt out of the den, right out side was a wide area of dark colored dirt, the remains of her anxious digging.
Unsure what Achal would say to her impromptu remolding of their home Tsubame racked her brain with ideas so Achal would take the change in a positive light, not that she feared her pad but more like she feared disappointing him. It didnt take her long to think of something that would work quite well. Walking wide around the area that the den was Tsu started to grab large mouthfuls of the tall grass that grew nearby. Each time she had a mouthful she would place the long grass in a pile by the den entrance. Once the pile had grown quite substantial she started to carry it into the den, bit by bit. She spread the sweet smelling grasses as best she could in the back of the den so it made a thick padding against the cold hard ground.
Once she finished moving the grasses inside Tsu went back outside to wait for Achal's return, and she waited, and waited. As she waited another thought came to her, this time it was for the outside of the den. Tsubame decided to take the rocks that she had pulled from the den to mark the outside of the den so anyone would know where it was if they were looking. Moving the rocks slowly with her paws and in her mouth she marked the general outline of the hidden den with small stones. This was only visible because Tsu had not taken any grass that was with in the stone border for the inside of the den but once the clipped grass grew back only the ring of stones and pebbles would show the newly expanded den's dimensions.
By this time Tsu's energy was lagging quite a bit. She was tired before and now she was exhausted. She walked to the front of the den, her limp quite pronounced, and sank to the ground outside the den with a sigh. She didn't even remember closing her eyes as she sunk into a dreamless sleep. She didn't even move when her growing stomach twitched as if something was moving around restlessly inside her. (fin i think)((also if i did something wrong, either in the description or in general just tell me please))
