 Iivari was out of his place, he was really out of his place he didn't know exactly where he was but he was at a pride. He learned toward the ground sniffing at it trying to figure out if anyone had been around the borders recently trying to figure out if there was a chance that he could run into some one out here and ask them about what was this pride. He pawed at the sand a little bit, he found it odd that he ended up in the desert, he had no clue how he got here but it wasn't really that bad. The sun felt great on his dark coat, the ground felt pretty good under his paws, it felt great to see something new.
He growled slightly trying to figure out what he was going to do while waiting for some one to show up. He looked around a little bit before sighing once more and backing up some and flopping down. He knew better then to cross the borders. Being a male he was chased away almost everywhere. He was very good at fighting back. He laid down digging himself into the ground a little more settling into the dirt before rolling over on his back and sunning his belly in the sun, chilling in the sun was nice when he was waiting. As he sat and waited he started to things he was told while he was traveling. The firekin... He had heard of them. If that was true then he was more than sure he needed to prepare himself for some one coming. He didn't want to get caught gaurd. He looked around a little bit. He was hoping that was what he found, it was really the pride that sounded the most interesting to him.

Kibela hummed out softly to herself as she lay in the sands of a high dune, her dark fur tinted brown from purposely rolling through the sands, providing herself a measure of camouflage. She had been watching their visitor for several moments already, silent and curious.
He recognized their borders, and was weary of entering uninvited. Smart boy. But what should she do with him?
It was far outside of the female's duties to patrol. She was an adviser to the Regents. Still, she took the duty upon herself regardless, wandering the borders often in search of strays, like him. His coloring was acceptable... And he at least had the sense not to enter.
Rising from her perch, Kibela moved to dash down the dune in a few short, sliding leaps, slowing to a trot as she hit more even ground, approaching in a non-threatening posture to the waiting male.
" Perhaps you are simply lost. Perhaps you are seeking us? Which is it, rogue? " She asked in her calculating, slightly detached voice, stopping a good five feet from his side to sit, her tail flicking out behind her.
" Then again... Perhaps you are an enemy, waiting for an unfortunate guard to lure into your trap? Speak wuickly, before I decide the answer for myself. "

Iivari could see the female coming and he couldn't help but to sit up straight as the female came at him. Even though she wasn't in a threating position, he wanted to make sure he was safe from attack. She didn't seem like she meant any harm however one could never be that sure however. "Are you the Motoujamii Simo?" He asked curiously before nodding his head in a quick bow. "If you are then I am seeking you." He took her in as he watched her, picking out her markings, her posture and her one of voice. She seemed to fit what he knew about the firekin so far, large, black coloring. He was mostly black but he was more than sure that his red markings and even his white mane would fit him into the pride.
He curled his tail around his front leg, trying to make himself comfortable as he did. He shook his head at the female letting out a small chuckle. "I'm not stupid enough to want to attack anyone by myself, especially if said lion in part of a pride. I do not know if they have back up or not." He smiled before nodding toward her and smiling as he lifted his hind quarters off of the ground so he could lower his front half to bow to the lioness. "I would not attack a lady unless it was in sport. My name is Iivari, I am a rogue and I am interested in the pride." He stood back up before settling back down on his haunches.
"I've heard many stories about this pride." He said gesturing the pride as if to refer to the lands. "I've heard about the great warriors of the pride."

Kibela was silent as she took in his words and actions, eyed calculating, judging every bit of his being. She could see the truth in his words. He obviously non-threatening posture. The lands had more then enough members truly... And a lot of the rogue blood had been troubling them with strangely colored cubs of late...
But...
One more would not hurt. His colors were pleasing... And the manners he held were rare, in or out of the pride. Standing from the sands, Kibela moved to step forward to the male in a few shot steps, putting her face near to his as she examined him. " ... Stories and rumors may be misleading, Dark One. "
She murmured the words softly to his face before she moved to brush past him, stepping out over the borders toward their land. Stopping, she looked back over her shoulder to the male. " ... Well? Will you follow me? See with your own eyes if this is a place in which you may live... Do not stray from my side, or I can not ensure your safety... " She continued to speak in her cold, almost monotone voice. Though her actions showed she really was not that type of person. If she was, she would have already run him away.
Moving to walk forward again, she slowly made her way over the sands toward the ruins and caverns in which their home was based. " The Firekin have changed much from the old stories... And the new stories are quite exaggerated. Though one fact still holds true... Physical strength is greatly valued in this land. Honor, though I must question if it is fading, also holds great value. Do you hold these things, Dark One? Are you of value to us? "
It was the second time she had said it. Calling him Dark One. It was rare, for Kibela to name someone. It maent that, on some level, she felt drawn to them. Kidondo, their mighty leader had been the first to receive the name Blood Lion. And only two since. This rogue intrigued her.

Iivari looked at the lioness quiet surprised that she didn't seem to want to cause him some harm. He nodded to her before chuckling he should have known better then to listen to rumors however they all seemed to say the same thing. He nodded to her with a small smirk on his face. "You do have a point there."
He looked at the lioness flicking his tail around as she went past him, he watched her carefully. She was a pretty attractive female, and the rumors about the colors to get into the pride must have been correct. She was just as black as he was, he did have a little more red on him and even some white but he knew he was a pretty good looking male himself. He puffed out his chest a little bit as he started to follow her. He was slightly curious if he was really danger in this pride. He wasn't sure but he was more than sure being with the female would keep him out of trouble. He looked at her and nodded. "I would be more then happy to follow you."
He flicked his tail around a bit looking around as they walked, he was curious on just about everything that he passed by. It all looked very interesting to him. Physical strength? Value? He defiantly had those qualities. The way his mother raised him was different from the ways that many other cubs were raised. It was a very harsh way but it kept him strong and able to protect his mother even when he was small. It also taught him a lot of value. He was more than sure he was ready for this pride. He looked at her with a nod. "I do believe that I am of great value to you."

" That will be for the Blood Lion to decide. " She hummed out, glancing to the side to study the male. " Though I may make a recommendation to him... You seem suitable. " This part she murmured out a bit awkwardly, tail lashing out behind her a bit in agitation. She wasn't too used to giving out any positive comments towards those not within her adoptive family. Even less so for complete strangers.
" Where have you come from for you path to take you here? " She asked him after a moment of silence, eyes returning forward as they got deeper into the heart of the pride's land. " Those who find their way into the harsh desert often have been battered by their lives... What was thrown at you so send you here? "
It was a bit of a personal question. But it was in her right in this land to ask it. They did not harbor and protect criminals here. Nor did they care to deal with other prides coming to look for him if he was a runaway of some importance. Though she didn't feel he seemed the type for either... it was still better to ask now and see how truthful he would be, rather than have to deal with any troublesome situations later. Not so much for the fact that they couldn't handle it, as for the fact it would have been her fault for leading him in. She simply, selfishly, did not want to be the one to cause any trouble to Kidondo and No.

"Blood lion?" He asked curiously, he wasn't really that sure on who she was talking about. He flicked a ear before glancing around once more, it was all desert here. It was a interesting looking place to live, the sun was harsh on his darkly colored coat but he was alright with that, it was something different, he was more than sure that he could handle this.
When she started to talk again her attention turned toward her, what brought him here? What happened in his life that made him want to come here? He did need a home, that was one thing for sure and there was many things that happened in his life. It wasn something that he really didn't talk about that much, it really wasn't something that he liked to talk about but he didn't want it to seem like he wanted to hide something.
"I was raised by my mom." He said looked down at his paws for a moment then shook his mane out again. "She was a harsh mother, really didn't know how to be a mother, she really just raised me because she felt like s he had to." He shook his head with a laugh before looking back toward her. "She did nothing but train me. If I got into trouble she would beat me until I got the idea of what could have happened to me. She was a harsh lioness but I loved her she was my mom. By the time I was a very young adolescent she made me take care of her. I had to hunt, bring her water, figure out where we were going. Protect her and myself." He shook his head then sighed. "She passed away not that long ago, and I decided I need a place to keep my skills sharp, where I could have a purpose and have a job. Be myself. This place sounded the best."

" Kidondo.. Our Regent. Our leader. " She explained when he asked about her brother, continuing to move with the male through the sands. Slowly rocky forms began to appear around them as they got closer to the heart of the Motoujamii's territory, the place most suitable to live.
It wasn't long before she was leading him past other lions, and rocky caves that acted at dens.
Slowing her steps in front of her own home, she tilted her head back to check the sun. It was already lowering towards night... Well, since he seemed intent to join them... Letting a sigh pass her lips, the female turned to move up to the deep den that acted as her home. With her children all grown and scattered it was quite empty and silent as she lead him inside the cool space.
" He'll not have the time for you today. " She murmured, not commenting on the details of his life he had given so freely. Not yet, at any rate. " And since I led you into the land, you are now my responsibility. You'll stay with me through the night. "
She left no room for argument as she moved to the back of the cave to a pile of old, soft pelts that acted as her bed. Taking the edge of one in her teeth she moved to begin dragging them out a bit to cover a wider space so she could accommodate her gust.

Iivari was enjoying the sights he was seeing. the desert was something he really never thought he would encounter or for that matter something that he would enjoy. Oh but as he looked around he realized it was something that he really was enjoying. The heat was interesting he had to admit because it was really hot on his darkly colored coat but he knew it was something that he could get used to. He glanced at the lioness and a smile curled on his lips. She was a really lovely lioness that was for sure. He was curious about her, at the second he just wasn't curious about the pride that was for sure.
He smiled at her before nodding. "Understandable." He said simply, he then looked at the lioness curiously. He was going to stay with her? That sounded pretty good. She seemed to know enough about the pride she was also nice enough to help him and tell him about the pride some, that made him really interested. He flicked his hair out of his eyes then smiled. "Thank you." He bowed before looking into the den it looked very nice. "You have a lovely den." He smiled at her before nodding, he sat down, he wasn't that sure if he should really be making himself completely comfortable. "It is very nice for you to have me stay here with you."
He flicked his tail around before laying down on his stomach looking at her. "If you wouldn't mind may I ask your name?" He let out a small chuckle then nodded at her. He was thinking quietly to himself, all of this seemed a little fast however he was still excited to start the joining process for the pride, he glanced back outside of the den to see the outside, watching some of the lions move around outside.

" It's not a problem... " The dark-furred lioness murmured in response to his thanks as she finished extending the bedded area enough to fit him as well, before moving across to tug up a rougher fur from the opposite corner where she stashed away meat when she felt the need to.
He may not yet have joined. But she didn't think that he'd be turned away, so she felt it safe to already consider him a member for the Simo.. And as a member, she felt a responsibility to take care of him, as she did with all of her brother's followers. " My name... It's Kibela... " She murmured out to him as she leaned down to take a large hare from under the fur. It was a fairly fresh kill since she'd caught it just that morning.
Stepping away, she padded back across the den to stop in front of the male, setting the rabbit in front of him. She didn't know a male that would turn away free food, hungry or not. Leaving the rabbit for him, Kibela moved back to settle herself on top of the furs, watching him intently with her blood red eyes.

Iivari smiled slightly as his attention moved back toward the female, he was curious on why she was so quiet he was hoping that he wasn't making her uncomfortable. He shrugged the idea off before looking down at his paws, he could feel the pads of them pounding, he was so tired. He flicked his hair out of his eyes. "It is very nice to meet you Kibela, and once more thank you for welcoming me so nicely."
He stretched out a little bit before curling up trying to make as much space for her as she could he didn't want to make her feel like she was giving up her home for him. "I'm going to get some sleep if you wouldn't mind. It's been a long journey." He chuckled slightly before smiling at her.

She couldn't help but slowly quirk a smile to the male as he settled in beside her. If she had to be honest, she really didn't mind the company, or the warmth so nearby as she settled herself down into the furs to rest her head down onto her paws.
" I do not mind in the least... Rest well, Iivari. " She said softly, deciding to do the same as she let her eyes slide shut. For now they could rest safely, then, in the morning she could feed her guest, and take him to Kidondo for his fate to be decided. It was likely he'd be allowed to stay and once his permission was given... Well, he'd probably wander off to find a den and meet others. Her tail twitched in annoyance at the thought, but she was quick to bury it in the back of her mind to relax and slowly drift into sleep.
