These two religion have pitted themselves against each other for a long time. Why? Who know....well most know. Face it, they are both sisters and they hate each other. Christians usually hate Wiccans, and Wiccans usually hate Christians. The understanding in both Religions has lost its touch. There is a lot going around. Why? There is already a battle inside of the religions. Christian vs Christian...and Wiccan vs Wiccan. Why are the two realigions fighting each other? God? Hell? Evil? Good?
LET THE DEBATE BEGIN!!!

Christians usually fight against Wiccans becuase Wicca has many beleiefs that contradict biblical teachings. They also associate wicca with witches who are the servants of the devil or soemthing like that so as a result they feel it is their duty to fight wicca and the devil

*scratches back of head* Are you talking about the Witch hunts? Because almost everyone that was burned was actually a satanist or a Christian, so.... If you're talking modern, yeah, I know what you are talking about, but I don't witness it very often. I see more in-fighting than out-fighting. Still, I'm on Wicca's side. Just because they are cooler cool

My family forces me to be christan, tho while there I do everything but listen and belive. I am much more for wicca and so are most of my friends. I do belive it's just because one is assumed mostly all about worshiping the devil, tho in some cases it does. While the other is praying and worshiping God. The two are opposites in that way. Tho I have one or two christan friends, but they do not nag and push jesus onto me.

eek Wow this is not how I thought this thread was going to be. I thought there would be a whole lot of OMG! Wiccans are saitenists and Rawr ritious smite! Because thats what I'm used to seeing when this subject comes up. Glad its not though makes it easyer xd 3nodding whee
Anywhos I must be on the Wiccan side of things here too. Now I dont have a religion and I am happy that way because religion is just another reason for people to fight amongst them selfs and create false and hurtful opinions of one another. But I am open minded toward all faiths. Now Wicca and Paganism was around for thousends of years before Christianity. When Christianity showed up thats when the fighting started because they were right and the Pagens were wrong. To convince the people of this they used the devil and hell to scare them saying that anything that didint follow Christian belife was the devils work. When really all Wicca is a return to nature through the spirits that dwell in nature (think of the native american's belifes in a way). Pagenism is The Lord and the Lady, or more then one deity. Satenism is an entirely diferent thing and I hate when people try to compare it to Wicca twisted And there is my take on the subject smile Go Wicca!

Do I really have to even say this:
Wicca - Right to practice Christianity - Right to belief
..that is the CORE reason why they fight, the different ways of how their religion works.
Now Do I honestly have to get into what Wicca really is and what Wicca isn't?

LET THE DEBATE BEGIN!!! Huh...as a Christian I don't hate Wiccans and I didn't know we have been pitted against each other and if so I'm positive that it hasn't been for a long time neutral To be honest with you and rather blunt as well, I don't think most Christians take Wicca very seriously it's just the 'in your face evangelicals' that do which isn't the majority of us.

Traditional Wicca was founded by Gerald Gardner, a British civil servant, who wrote a series of books on the religion in the 1940's.Source: religioustolerance.orgWicca is not an old religion, it's relatively new. When Christianity showed up the fighting didn't start, it continued and most of it was aimed at the Christians which is just another reason why martyrdom is such a large part of the faith.

Don't use ReligiousTolerance as a source for Wicca. The {Wicca FAQ} is a better source or one of my many Wicca info dumps.

Wiccan FAQ cites it's info with mostly broken links that come from mainly one source...doesn't hold too much weight with me and holds slightly less weight then religioustolerance.org which I agree isn't the best source either but is more of a neutral source and accurate in what I quoted it on. EDIT: I used that source only to support the one statement I made on Wicca but it looks like going to religioustolerance.org as a source on Wicca would be akin to going to a Protestant source to learn about Christianity.
Oh and I just looked into it, your source supports what I said so I take it the objection was only to the source I used and not what was quoted from then.
