M o n o c h r o m e

The future. An ominous, unpredictable enigma of time. This world you thought you knew, Earth, no longer goes by this name. NovaTerra, or 'New Land', is what the world leaders are beginning to call this planet. An adequate name, considering on how the world had changes in a century or two. Earth had become a battle-scarred shadow of what it once was, cyberpunk themed and malevolent as Hell itself. Freedom is no longer a natural law. You are either born a free person, or born a slave. Yes, slavery has returned to the world, and is more popular than ever. Nekos, Inus, Anthromorphs and Half-breeds of all sorts are born and sold into slavery daily, via the Slave Market. Not to mention, most of these creatures have been in the military, for one of three reasons; one, they were experiments, two, they were soldiers, or three, they were experimental soldiers, therefore, fittingly named, the NovaSoldiers. And by experiments, I mean that they were tortured with hundreds upon thousands of chemicals, serums, and weapons with no mercy.
Now, there is a ray of hope for these creatures. Many pray day by day that they would become useless for the government and be sold into the Slave Market, where a master would hopefully purchase them. A kind master. A master could be any type of person; cruel, uncaring, or kind and warm. Plus, masters were usually either Human, Demon, or Vampire, which narrowed the chances for a good slave-master relationship. But, even so, any slave would choose an abusive master over the military.

In this bleak new world, the future seems more monochrome than ever.

The City

Cyberpunk, dark, biologically hazardous, and simply discouraging, the city looks more like an industrial, concrete jungle rather than a place for living. There’re few laws to follow nowadays. Getting arrested for ‘disturbing the peace’ and ‘drunk-driving’ don’t exist. Basically, don’t kill and/or act like a complete Neanderthal, and you’re fine. There are few trees and plants, as only wealthy people can afford these luxuries. The homes that slaves are brought into can range from poor, depressing little houses, to amazing, rich estates and mansions. A slave can also be simply bought to be a worker or entertainer, such as in a restaurant, club, etc.

The Slave Market

The Slave Market is a eerie, dark area. Yes, not just one building, but many. In each slave shop, there could be an assortment of slaves; the calmer, kinder ones restrained to ‘bunk beds’ with simple handcuffs or chains, the more violent and untamable ones shackled and isolated in separate cages or even elaborate containers. Masters can freely walk around and choose whichever slave is to their liking and purchase them for a reasonable price. Escape is virtually impossible. Armed guards patrol the shops day and night, and if caught repeatedly, a slave will be killed, simply for being a nuisance.

Slave Collars

Simple, cheap, black leather collars are put on slaves. Each collar has a tag, like a dog or cat’s collar. On the tag the slave’s name, age, and specialty is written. The color of the tag indicates the slave’s mental condition.

Platinum – Fine/Mentally stable

Gold – Shy/Skittish

Silver – Depressed/Sickly/Upset

Bronze – Violent/Dangerously unstable

Black – Extremely dangerous/Purchase at your own risk

Bunk Beds/Cages

Bunk beds are what they are. Beds connected to the walls of slave shops. Usually two or three 'stories' high, to which slaves are either loosely chained or handcuffed to. Bunk beds are assigned to Platinum, Gold, and Silver-tagged slaves. Cages, on the other hand, are worse. Cages usually contain Bronze and Black-tagged slaves. The slaves are chained at the wrists, ankles, and neck in order to prevent any harm to customers or the slaves themselves. Cages can also be elaborate. Some may be electrically charged, others with inward facing sharp objects; all depending on the condition the slave is in.

Slave Fights

Know anything about dog fights? Same thing, except switch the dogs with slaves, and you've got yourself the newest illegal form of blood sport entertainment out there. The establishments in which fights take place are usually basements, or anywhere underground, with large wrestling arena-styled rooms. The two rival slaves are put, or forced, into large cages and locked in until one is either dead or dying. To get in, one must pay a hefty admission fee, and once inside, you have the options of gambling and/or, for future purposes, paying stud fees. Authorities are usually unable to locate these arenas because they relocate after a week or so to another building somewhere in the city. In addition, authorities are usually unconcerned about something to trivial where there is a war at stake somewhere else in the world.

M a s t e r s

Appearance:
User Image
Name: Sol Kiske
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Orientation: Heterosexual
Race: Human
Occupation/Wealth Status: Retired soldier, now working in a small family owned restaurant as a waiter. He makes it through the month, keeping his retirement money back for when he really needs it.
Biography: As a member of the military, Sol rose through the ranks quickly, rewarded for spectacular performance on the battlefield with medals and promotions. After a while, the glory of it all seemed to fade. It became a mundane duty for him to work through every day. There was no longer any passion for it. The killing just didn't make sense any more. You shoot this man for being a terrorist, this one for simply raising his voice at a speech. Why bother with it all? He retired through an honorable discharge, taking the rather hefty sum he was paid and putting it away in his savings. He accepted a job at a local restaurant, serving people food and live a normal life.
Personality: He is a bright individual. He likes to help people out and can turn a blind eye to some things. Don't cross him, though. It'll be your worst mistake, and quite possibly your last.
Notes: When it comes to slavery, he has mixed feelings. He wonders how slavery can exist, but at the same time doesn't mind owning a slave himself. He is caring and forgiving when it comes to the subject of slaves, but will lay down discipline if he deems it necessary.
Puppeteer: Neko-san0013
Themesong: Sanctuary by Utada Hikaru

Also, like this.
Name: Tenrai. [Meaning 'Sound of Wind']
Gender: Female.
Age: 17.
Orientation: Heterosexual.
Race: Ōkami.
Collar Tag Color: Silver/Black.
Biography: Since her conception, government scientists knew that she would be a very unique weapon. Correct, Tenrai was destined to be a weapon. The girl had grown up under intense supervision, and never truly knew what freedom was. Once in her teen years, they began testing her in the battlefield, and she proved to be a total success. Though, at the age of 15, she’d been fatally wounded, her heart nearly torn to shreds by shrapnel. Scientists frantically operated on her, giving her an artificial heart. It worked, and she lived. But, after two years or recovery, she’d become a nuisance to the military, and they 'honorably', more like dishonorably, discharged her, sending her straight into the Slave Market. Now, how could a heartless thing like her ever find happiness?
Personality: Dark, withdrawn, quiet, skittish, cynically pessimistic, though has a very down-to-earth, calm, free side, if give the opportunity to show it.
Notes: She loves nature, apples, tea, meat, and music, though she barely knows anything about them at all.
Puppeteer: r a i n b e l l s
Themesong: Music Box - Thrice/Comptine d'un Autre Été - Amelie OST

Name: Rosaline Heartnet.
Gender: Female.
Age: 14.
Orientation: Straight, and let's keep it that way.
Race: Kinetic being. [Can have psychokinesis, telekinesis, etc.]
Collar Tag Color: Silver/Black.
Biography: By simply looking at her last name, you can concur that Rosaline is Seth's younger sister who was kidnapped at a very young age. To be exact, Rose was 3-years-old when she was taken by the Mafia. Seth had assumed that they either raised her as their own, or tortured and killed her. Well, he was mistaken. What happened to little Rose was much worse. Shortly after her kidnapping, the Mafia sold her to the military. Once there, they took no hesitation in testing hundreds upon thousands of chemicals, serums, and machinery on the poor kid. Eventually, they over-developed her mind, giving her unparalleled psychokinetic abilities. In the years that she was raised in the laboratory, her powers continued to grow and multiply, until now. Currently, she is held in a high-security steel container, as it is probably the only thing capable of suppressing her powers. And lately, the scientists have been plotting to euthanize her...
Personality: Cold, uncaring, lacks empathy, and independent. She has developed strong emotions of hatred and vengeance towards humans because of how she was treated by the majority of them as a child.
Notes: Her right eye is mechanical due to a complication during an experiment, and some of her internal organs are artificial. Her hair had bleached from repeated chemical poisoning, along with her iris pigmentation.
Puppeteer: r a i n b e l l s
Themesong: Monster - Skillet / delete...,enter - Miku Hatsune [VOCALOID]

Appearance:

Name: Nox Nyctores. He just goes by Nox
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Orientation: Heterosexual
Race: Unknown
Occupation/Wealth Status: Nox is rich. Not much more to it. Although he is very rich, he never really buys anything.
Biography: Nox is a strange individual. In the earlier years of his life, he resembled a deranged madman. He was mentally unstable and extremely outgoing. He used to take up contract hits from clients that managed to find him, but he wasn't in it for the money. He was just in it for the killing. Nowadays, though, he is a lot quieter. He's definitely stable, as well. He hasn't killed for a long time. He lives in a Victorian style mansion towards the outskirts of the city, though he lives there by himself. He sent all of his servants and caretakers away, stating that there was only one person he wanted to be near. He didn't know who that one person was, but he knew he'd find her one day...
Personality: Nox is a quiet, calm individual. He puts the skills of stealth and slipping through crowds unnoticed from his early days to use a lot. He is seemingly fixated on finding that one person that he feels he should be near, no matter where she is or who she is. She's somewhere out there, and he's going to find her. That much he knows and believes.
Note: Nox is easily fascinated by things, though it's hard to notice, as he is a very subtle person.
Puppeteer: Neko-san0013
Theme song: None to report! =w=!

January 16 - ∞!

This RP was opened for the use of Neko-san0013 and me. It's somewhat of a spin-off from the original Monochrome RP I'd created a few months ago. The story in this RP shall focus around Sol, Tenrai, Rosaline, and Nox, and how the four interact with one another, their dilemmas in life, ad how, eventually, they each pair up into couples. Both males are Neko-san's, and both females are mine. So, to whom it may concern, or whoever is actually reading this, this RP is no longer, an never was, accepting any more characters. Good day to you all. :3

The muffled breathing of a young girl echoed within an enormous steel container, illuminated by a single, dim lamp that hung from the ceiling. She sat limp on the floor, her head encased in a mechanical suppresser-helmet. All around her, the steel room had depressions and dents in it- evidence of a desperate struggle. Her body was covered in wires, monitoring her every change in mental and physical activity. A speaker seemed to sound, and someone’s voice blasted and reverberated in the room.
“KB-01, do not be alarmed. The person entering your room is a fellow scientist. You are being moved into a new container.”
She lifted her head weakly, her breathing still steady. KB-01. ‘Kinetic Being, number one’. Her new alias since the kidnapping.
She couldn’t see through the helmet, but she could ‘see’ a woman enter the room by their aura. The woman moved closer and closer towards her motionless form, with something small and cold in her hands. Whatever it was, the thing sent an uneasy chill up her spine. Suddenly, the woman spoke as she grabbed her arm.
“Please don’t move, KB-01,” something as sharp as a needle penetrated her arm near the shoulder, “This is for your own good, as well as the world’s sanity.”
Within the helmet, the girl’s eyes widened. They were trying to kill her! With a surge of energy and blood, the woman was sent flying across the room, hitting the wall with a loud bang. An alarm sounded as she did so. The girl stumbled to her feet and with a wave of her arm, large dents began forming in the side of the container, as if something was hitting it. Finally, it broke open, but to her misfortune, there was a squad of soldiers there, armed with pistols and rifles, ready to gun her down. She took a step forward, and they began firing. But as the smoke cleared, you could see that the bullet had stopped in midair about a foot from the girl. She grit her teeth, and the bullets were sent back at the soldiers, killing them all instantly. She grunted and the helmet on her head shattered, revealing a very pale face with one crimson eye and ashen hair. Her right eye had a mechanical device that resembled a camera in it. She grabbed it and yanked it out, and with it much blood and a deafening scream. She stumbled out of the room and found her way into a hospital-like area, where she quickly found a few towels and an eye patch. As disgusting as it may sound, she cleaned out the hollow inside of her eye socket and strapped on the eye patch. There was still some blood that ran down the side of her face like crimson tears.
After that, security camera showed her dashing out of the laboratory and into the city, where it would be extremely hard to find her.

Sol awoke in the morning feeling happy. Happy, but tired. He smiled as he felt Tenrai twitch slightly in his arms in her sleep. The memory of the night before made him laugh slightly. He sat up and yawned. he patted Tenrai on the head softly and petted her before leaving the room to get dressed and cook breakfast. The poor girl had been through so much. He figured he'd let her sleep for just a little while longer and surprise her with breakfast. He chcukled on his way out. He went into the bathroom and threw some water on his face before going back out into the kitchen. He washed his hands and took out the food and a skillet. He switched the stove on and cracked a couple eggs, letting them fall in before scrambling them and letting them cook. He turned and looked back towards his room. What was she dreaming about, he wondered...
--
Nox was stalking through the city silently. He adjusted his jacket a bit, the bit coming over his mouth resting comfortably on his nose now. He kept walking, his eyes scanning the area. Well, eye, as one of them was covered by an eye patch. The eye behind it was there, though it didn't exactly work the way it was supposed to anymore. He was wandering around an area of the city that wasn't usually populated during the day, much less at three in the morning. So he was a bit startled when a door to a nearby building flung open and a girl ran into him. A small yelp was heard as she fell back. She seemed to be in a hurry. he looked her over. Her skin was so pale... She had an eye patch as well. This almost made him laugh. What a coincidence, eh? Two people with eye patches walking around this early?

"Excuse me. Are you alright?" he bent down slightly, a hand extending and taking hers to help her up. As he touched her skin, his eye widened. This... This girl. Was she her? She was different than the others! It was certainly a hell of a lot closer than he'd been for quite some time now. He pulled her up and looked her over. SHe was a bit dirty, and her clothes were beat up. Where did she come from? Was she homeless?

Tenrai was still curled into a little ball as Sol woke up. Even as he left, the girl seldom moved. Her ears twitched, at most. Everything was quiet and serene in her mind until an unfamiliar scent wafted up her nostrils. She sniffed unconsciously before cracking her eyes open, just a bit. Where was she? What was that wonderful aroma? Questions flew through her mind before the memories of the market and Sol flushed back to her. Yawning, she exposed her sharp canines, and stretched like a dog would. She touched the back of her neck very gently. The patch-like bandage was still there. Joy. A constant reminder of her days in the labs. Tossing the bed covers off and shaking her head, she stood up and hesitantly wandered out of the room, though only peeked at Sol from behind a wall. She was still cautious about the man. Who wouldn't be? She'd only met him yesterday in the afternoon, so, overall, Tenrai had only known him for less than 12 hours. She watched him with questioning eyes, wondering what he'd make her do. She'd never been a slave, so she didn't exactly know as much as a slave would. All she did know, though, was that some masters were kind enough to treat slaves like servants. Others...Well...Not so much.
Tenrai's tail involuntarily swayed as she identified the scent as food. She didn't know what it was exactly, but she assumed eggs. Sure, scientists had educated her in the labs, but they fed her vitamins and minerals through a tube that led directly into her stomach. So, basically, she hadn't tasted normal food in over a decade. The scent was so foreign to her. Frying eggs, eh? Who ever thought of that? Then again...Anything would be fine for her. She wasn't a picky eater, nor was she concerned about where the food had come from, what it was- if it was safe to eat, she'd eat it. After all, when have you seen a wolf refuse to eat flesh because it wasn't venison?

- - -

Rosaline had just barely darted out of the building when she collided with someone. She fell to the floor awkwardly, and accidently let out a yelp in surprise. She coughed and sat up, rubbing her arm, which she'd used to break her fall. The man suddenly spoke, and Rose looked up in shock. He was tall and intimidating, for the average human. Her attention was drawn to his eye patch. Just like her...except, his was...sown on. Alright, a bit strange, but Rose had seen stranger. She covered her cheek where blood had ran down from her eye. It was partially dry from her running, though it was still very noticeable, as it completely contrasted her pale skin and hair.
When the man suddenly pulled her up, she was about to retaliate violently somehow. But he wasn't hurting her. No, he was helping. Helping her up? Since when did anyone communicate or interact with Rosaline in a positive way?
Rosaline yanked her hand out of his and took a step back, trying to gather whatever was left of her composure to straighten up and speak.
"I-...I'm fine."
Her voice cracked with underuse and panic. Rose had literally not spoken for over 10 years, so her vocals were sore and had to be strained to speak.

Sol hummed to himself while he took the eggs from the hot skillet and set them aside. He pulled out some bacon next. The memory of Tenrai eating the night before made him chuckle. He laid some of the bacon on the hot skillet and listened to it sizzle and pop while it cooked. He grinned as he realized she was watching him. He didn't turn his head as he spoke to her. He was flipping the bacon over as he addressed her. "Good morning, Tenrai. How'd you sleep?" he asked, flipping the bacon one last time before setting it on the plate as well. He moved the skillet over to the sink and let the cold water fall onto it. The metal hissed as it was suddenly cooled. He set it down in the sink and let the water continue to wash over it. He dried his hands then turned to Tenrai and smiled. He put two pieces of bread into the toaster on the counter and turned it on. They finished quickly, and he set them on the plates before grabbing a cold jar of jelly. He moved everything to the table and looked to her.

"Come on. Sit down and have breakfast. You must be hungry" he nodded ,waiting for the curious-and maybe somewhat shy-girl to come and take her seat. He understood what she was feeling. She didn't know him very well yet. Of course she was still hesitant and cautious. Not to mention it was a bit early for breakfast. He was planning what to do for the day, though, so he wanted as much time for the two of them to et to know each other and have fun as possible.
--
Nos watched her closely as she was pulled up and yanked her hand away from him. Her voice sounded strained and awkward... She also sounded scared. He could see some blood on her cheek. It looked dried though. What had happened to the girl? He felt a drop of rain fall on his head. He looked up and noticed it was beginning to rain. He held out his hand, then looked back down to Rosaline. He pulled a white silk handkerchief from one of his pockets and let the rain water fall on it a bit before moving her hand gently and wiping the blood from her face. She had to be her... Right? Meeting like this, in the middle of nowhere had to mean something. She seemed to have issues with being touched. That made sense was a complete stranger. Still... He removed his jacket. It was large, and a bit heavy. He breathed out slowly as his mouth was completely uncovered. He usually had his mouth covered, as he didn't talk much. Now though...

He draped the jacket around her ratty clothing. She wasn't wearing clothing that would keep her very warm wither... His jacket almost went down to her ankles. He wrapped it around her so it would keep her shielded from the winds that were starting to pick up. He nodded and looked down at her. "It's rather late... Or rather, early, don't you think?" he looked down at her as he asked this. He set a hand on her shoulder and started to direct her away from the building and down the street. His home was only a short walk away from here. It made sense that the scientists would take her out here to die. No one around to witness anything and nowhere to run. "The rain is going to pick up soon... It'll be pretty cold out, and you look lost. I'll take you back to my palce and you can get cleaned up and stay warm, alright?" he asked, her, stopping under an old bus stop to get confirmation.

Tenrai knew that she'd be seen eventually, so she took a few awkward steps out of the room to look at everything Sol'd prepared. She was about to reply to his question when the hissing sound of cooling metal hit her. Her ears perked up, then flattened quickly out of surprise. One slowly raised up as she calm.
"Well...I slept well."
That was Tenrai finicky as ever about grammar. note that she didn't say that she slept 'good'. The heavenly aromas mixed and seemed to draw her in. With her mouth slightly open to drink in the scents and tail swaying in curiosity, she took another hesitant step forward before Sol told her to come and eat. Raising both ears, she walked over and sat down. The food looked awfully colorful and delicious- very different from the bland, colorless, odorless, liquid crap they rarily gave her to eat in the labs. She flattened her ears as she studied the food. Picking up a fork, she poked at the bacon. It resembled meat, though it wasn't exactly raw anymore. She them poked the toast. It crunched slightly under the fork. Next came the eggs, and along with them, a surprise. As she poked the egg yolk, the thin membrane ruptured, spilling the contents onto the rest of the plate. Tenrai nearly jumped out of her seat as her ears flattened even further and tail bristled. Her eyes were wide with shock and guilt.
"Oh, s**t! I broke it!"
She yelped quickly and stared at the eggs in horror. Had she ruined Sol's delicious creation?! Remembering how good the food was yesterday, she hoped that it wasn't too late for this plate...

Rosaline looked to the sky as it began to rain. Such a familiar phenomenon, yet so...foreign. Or was it forgotten? Rose didn't know. She simply enjoyed this strange event as water droplets cascaded from the heavens. She suddenly tensed and took a step back as Nox used the handkerchief to wipe the dry blood off of her face. If he hadn't noticed, the air seemed to gain its own gravity as Rose became nervous. It was a feeling that few could explain. Like as if the air had lost half of its oxygen; a choking, dragging feeling. It was her enhanced aura that caused this. It bended and manipulated things around her according to her emotions.
Nonetheless, Rosaline was afraid of the man. After all, she'd just slammed into him in the middle of the rode, she had blood on her face, he was tall and dark and almost ominous- what kind of a situation was this? She nearly lunged at him as he put the jacket around her. Staring intently at his face, Rose noticed how different he looked without his tall-collared jacket. Speaking of the jacket, it was heavy and long, though did provide excellent insulation. She snapped back to reality when a thought hit her.
"B-but it's...Won't y-...you get wet?"
Damn it. She mentally swore at her raspy, broken voice. She sounded so weak and vulnerable, when it should be the other way around. She could've sent the man flying across the street if he hadn't reacted so kindly. She clutched the jacket from the inside to keep it from sliding off. She silently and slowly nodded to all his words, feeling self-conscious about her voice.
Suddenly, sirens sounded. Not police sirens, but the kinds that went off before an air raid back in WW2. Man, that was centuries ago. At least two. Thinking quickly, Rose used her free hand to grab Nox's hand and run down the street as police cars began wailing their sirens in the distance. Her legs felt very weak, as she seldom ran anywhere in the labs, unless for a test or if she were escaping. She turned to look back at Nox.
"Where is your home?"
Finally, a normal sentence. But it was only because of the wording. Certain sounds would still be a nuisance, though Rose could manage.

[[I should change their dialogue colors. owo
I'll figure it out by the next post. Rose's color is annoying and Tenrai's is getting old. nwn;;]]

"That's good" he nodded as she told him. Sol watched Tenrai walk over to the table slowly. She looked so shy. Despite her collar, which claimed she was dangerous and unstable, he found her rather cute. Probably because he treated her with kindness and respect. That didn't mean he was above teasing her. He grinned when she started to test all of her food with the fork and laughed when she popped her egg. She looked genuinely worried. He reached over, patting her on the head softly. He smiled and grabbed her plate. He switched hers with his.
"The egg itself is fine. It's still edible. Still, I want your first egg to be perfect. Take mine, instead. Cut around the yolk and eat that part. Save the yolk for last" he told her, explaining it and nodding as he finished up. He wondered how she would take this advice. He was sure she'd follow it, but would she try too hard to? he was anxious to see!
--
Nox hadn't noticed it as much before as he did now. Rosaline's voice was strained and broken more than he thought. At first, he had assumed that she was stuttering and stopping because she ran into him, and she was surprised and embarrassed. Now, though, he could tell that was not the case. He watched her wrap the jacket around herself even more and almost smiled. The edge of his mouth shifted a bit, but not much more than that. "I'll be fine. I don't mind the rain" he nodded. She looked ready to come home with him. Was this it? Did he have her? Was she the person he'd been looking for? His thoughts were interrupted when the sound of siren's and an old air raid siren filled the air. As she gripped his hand and looked up to him, he realized that's why she had been in such a hurry. "It's this way" he looked to the left of them, towards an alley. Cutting through here would bring them to a road that went from the outskirts of the city straight downtown. These days it didn't see much use. He started to run with her, holding her hand as he led her away. Police or riot police weren't something to be worried about, but why start a conflict now?
((I sink it's fine owo! Is your choice tho nwn Sorry for taking so long!))

Tenrai seemed to calm as Sol switched her plate with his. She stared at the food without looking at him as he explained how to eat it. How interesting, she wondered, These habits that humans have go to such lengths that they even eat specific foods in certain ways. Her ears flattened with curiosity as she obeyed his words. Tenrai cut gently around the yolk, being careful enough to stay half a centimeter away from it. She ate the whites, which were delightfully thin and smooth. She licked her teeth with hunger and picked up the entire yolk with her fork, then swallowed it. It burst with flavor, causing Tenrai to momentarily look shocked with joy. She ate the rest of the food happily, even though toast was something that would take getting used to. How long had it been since she’d tasted bread at all? Maybe a couple times when she was still allowed to see her mother…But after that, raw meat and water would be the only things to pass through the girl.

Rosaline nearly tripped as Nox pulled her down an alley. Could she really trust this man? Who was he, really? Questions rushed through her mind as she somewhat struggled to keep up a good running pace. She’d been confined in a carbon steel prison for most of her life, with war and surgery being exceptions. She coughed a few times, reminding her of her dry, sore throat.
Rose now depended on Nox to lead her to safety. She wasn’t familiar with this city anymore. It all appeared foreign to her, even the language. She looked around, trying to recollect any memories of the place, but remembered nothing.

[[AH GOD SORRY FOR TAKING FIVE DAYS TO REPLY! DX AND I KNOW THIS POST SUCKS. Life is so screwed up right now I'm having trouble RPing and even doing my own HW. D:

Sol smiled as he watched Tenrai eat. It was nice to have someone else around the house... Nice to have anyone around at all, really. Even in his days in the military he was alone. He didn't have the luxury of having others to depend upon and people that depended on him. He was always a lone wolf. Being separated and sent on covert operations that usually gauged out with a low chance of success made having a lone operative ideal. Still though, it was a lot different than what it sounded like. He ate his own food-well, Tenrai's food originally. He didn't mind though. She still seemed wary of him, but she was warming up to him. Just seeing her smile and knowing that she was benefiting from this new life was enough for him. He reached out to pat her head.

"I was thinking we could go out and have some fun today... It's still pretty early in the morning, but later on it should be pretty nice later. How about it? You can even wear some of your new clothes"

Nox lead Rosaline through the alley's quickly. The police and riot cops would be all over the place soon... Honestly, the law enforcement in the city reacted way too harshly to small things. Of course, he still had no idea what Rosaline had done. Not that it mattered. He had been looking for her for too long. Even if she murdered thousands, no one would take her away from him! That is, if she agreed to stay with him... He had a good feeling though. He always knew he was supposed to find her. She'd agree, wouldn't she? He was brought out of his thoughts when his way was blocked by four cops, each suited up in thick black armor. Gas mask's covered their faces, and the holes over the eyes were glowing red.

"Back down, sir. Hand over the girl" one mad held a hand up. There was a burp of static before his voice came through the mask. Nox gritted his teeth. He didn't need this... He could easily take care of the four of them. Something seemed odd, though. Although he was leading Rosaline and protecting her, something around him felt different. It felt as if it was coming from her. He turned his head slightly. She'd be able to defend herself...

"I can take care of these guys... If you feel up to it, why don't you handle two of them? If not, I'll be more than happy to rid us of their presence"
