Assalmu Aliekum to all Muslimahs I just wanted to talk to you guys about makeup. Lets face it all girls (or most) like make up however still we must of course still be modest. No over the top make up that make us look like clowns..hehe.. xd
anyway.. there is something called Kajal or Kohl..its free from animal residue (especially pork)....Unlike most cosmetics. Anyway this is better then the traditional eyeliner because for number 1.) its halal and 2.) it has health benefits.. it actually improves eyesight. 3.) it cool the eyes which is great on those hot sticky summer days.
I just wanted to let you know about this product 3nodding

Fish of Steel btw its not forbidden to use pork products as long as u dont eat them u can use the pig like the skin and the hair and other things 3nodding In my country, scholars consider pig and all derivatives from it as heavy najis, which entails the necessary purification of seven washings, one of them with a mixture of sand and water, for surfaces that come into contact with pig and its organs. However, the condition is that the surface contact is wet or moist. If it is dry, then no purification is necessary. But from Islam Online.net: Quote: There are two opinions about the use of swine leather. The conservative opinion among the fuqaha' (jurists) prohibits such use in all forms and categories. The other opinion permits the use of pig bones, leather, and other parts of the body, while prohibiting the consumption of its flesh. The argument is Verse 3 of Surat Al-Ma'idah where Almighty Allah says, (Forbidden to you (for food) are dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine) (Al-Ma'idah 5:3). The words used in the verse are flesh of swine, not the pig itself. For the last group of scholars, using leather jackets, belts, etc. that are made of pigskin is makruh (discouraged) but not haram (prohibited by Allah). However, to some contemporary fuqaha', the chemical process changes the nature of the leather altogether, and therefore, they do not see any problem with using the products made of such leather. My recommendation will be to find alternatives, even if they are a little more expensive. For me, I think it's better to avoid them altogether. But I think for countries where pig derivatives are used freely, perhaps people may agree with the contemporary fuqaha' view 3nodding

i would love to have that product. unfortunately, i dont think it is available here in our country, The Philippines, because this is a catholic country and only 5%-9% is the population of the muslims here. so i still use the common or ordinary eyeliner..
btw, can i ask some suggestions? i have pimple actually and i dont know what to use so that they will be gone.. crying

btw Keisha, I've heard that putting toothpaste on a pimple, and letting it dry helps but I've never used that method, I always just used the different facial scrubs smile
