....and I can't get the blinking bayonet on. Now, given, it won't fit in my case with it on, I still want it on. I can almost get it all the way, but it won't turn to the side. Ideas?

Work out more? I don't know what to tell you. My buddy's baynet was a pain in the a** to put on, but we got it. On the other hand, the bayonet for my Mosin doesn't require that much force to put it on.

I'm a little dude, and I would like to keep it that way. Maybe I'll have Tom take a shot at it.

I am 6'3" 230-235 and have a medium build. I CAN'T GET MY MOSIN BAYONET ON FOR THE LIFE OF ME! one time I had to actually take a mallet to the thing to get it to slide off after attempting to get it on.

I think the need a little grinding somewhere to slip on and off properly.

BTW... Sauce?

Well, it was DESIGNED to be hard to remove or put on, because they were taught to leave it on unless they were in a vehicle. Just like the M44s are supposed to keep the bayonet extended outside of a vehicle as well (but the folding keeps them from losing it in that case). They were zeroed the the bayonets on, too.

Take a small wooden dowel or whatnot a little smaller than the barrel and wrap some high grit sand paper around it and insert it into where the barrel would go and sand a bit away at a time until it fits.

You're an idea man, I like that.

I'll have to see if Tom has the supplies I will need.
