I liked the first three books. I preferred the way Eclipse left off, so I like to think that's where the series ends. When I read Breaking Dawn, I felt like I had just paid money to read fan fiction. I just didn't like it. A lot happened in it I guess, but I felt it was too anti-climatic.

As for the movies, I haven't seen New Moon. I might see it eventually because I do like Taylor Lautner (~Sharkboy~ whee ) and I am hoping that will be it's one saving grace.

I went to see the first one on opening night and was horribly disappointed. I got more enjoyment out of laughing at the scene where Edward sparkles and pissing off the girl in front of me than watching the move. I tried to look past the fact that is was low budget, but it didn't help. I kind of like Robert Pattenson, but I don't think he was a good Edward. Don't get me started on Kristen Stewart and her 'acting'. I know Bella was a pretty bland character to begin with, but what the HELL was that?

the one night i got a chance to come home and hang out with my family at the movies, low and behold, a line wrapped around the damn building for new moon and we couldn't even get in to see what we wanted to see...

and this is part of the reason i have vowed to write a book that will dethrone twilight and put me in a position where i can buy my own theater so that travesty never happens again

after that, i also plan on giving Stephenie Meyer the finger while i laugh and hi five Stephen King mrgreen

My take on Twilight? It's okay for a younger audience, but I positively hate some of the fans. I own all the books and will see all the movies, but because when I started reading them, the craze hadn't fully hit yet. I was completely bored with Bella, and Edward downright pissed me off he was so irritating, but I read it for what else I saw: a new set of 'vampire' rules that I'd never encountered before in all my years of vampire fandom. I also saw some minor side characters that I took to, so I agreed to read New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. The shapeshifting wolves then caught my attention and the Quileutes became my favorites because they seemed a lot more realistic than the vampires. But, Bella always retained the ability to piss me off, as did Edward, and I thought all my beloved side characters could've been developed and played a lot better. Still, I nearly got a Cullen wristband because I like the crest (ended up not because I couldn't find a non-leather one and I really don't like leather), and I wore a Team Jacob pin on my backpack.

Until the fans ruined it. Girls willing to maim and kill because someone expresses their disdain for their fandom? I'd rather go around singing "Hitler Was A Sensitive Man." The Twilight Moms scare me as well- at least my favorites of the actors are closer to my own age. And now because of the fans, this new novel set of rules will become the vampire standard, forever ruining the face of vamp literature. And for that, I may retain my crushes on the 'Quileute' actors in the movies, but I can never forgive what Twilight has done to literature.

Oh and want to really tick me off? Say there are any similarities to the Twilight fan craze and the Harry Potter fan craze. >.<

I was a pre-twilight fan and read the books before all the dumb fangirls came about. I really enjoyed the books... with the exception of breaking dawn. I was pissed at bella in new moon for crawling back to edward when jacob was there for her and never left her.

GAH! I HATED IT! Rob isn't even hot in my book. He is FUGLY! His chest hairs make me want to gorge my eyes out with a butterknife. THen, my school got seriously into twilight (well... most of the girls and some guys) and they were like, "Oh my gosh i love edward" "Oh mygosh! jacob needs to back off!" "Oh my gosh, bella is sooo lucky..." blah blah blah blah blah! I just sat there thinking, "ok Jacob is my favorite character because he never left bella and he cracked me up during the dumbness of breaking dawn. And bella is not lucky. she's in love with a dead guy who would kill her and drink all of her blood if he didn't have control over himself and let his instincts take over." But it seriously pissed me off. And Kristen is a horrible actress in twilight. the only part i thought was good acting, was when she was in her old ballet studio getting her @$$ wooped by james. I was actually laughing in the theater during that part. And a friend of mine who was with me wanted to puke when the girls in the theater squealed when edward showed up. She and i both said boo and we got glared at. but some guys in there laughed at our booing. xd any who! but i am sick of all the fanism going on. my math teacher is OBSESSED with twilight and edward. She's 32 with 3 kids and she's like edward cullen is soo hot. I try to not puke when she says those things. She's planning on getting a shirt that says vampires on it, but the pi is the pi sign for math. She's super excited about it, and i am just thinkin, 'you are dumb'.
It's really annoying though, and that is how i became a twilight hater... with the exception of jacob. I still like him because he's nice and hates vampires mrgreen until renesme was born *veen* and not to mention taylor is adorable. sweatdrop hehe...

I just have so much to say. I think I'll only say a bit for now though.

on the books: they were good. I only like the first three. I think she got lazy on the last one. I was PISSED when I read all those damn pages about training. All that s**t building up the conflict and what not...only to have everyone have a nice short conversation and leave. It was a waste of paper. She was doing way to much with the little things though (i.e. the sex and jacob and his new number one girl). It was just awkward and really bad. I just felt like I did when I saw the Blair Witch Project....I felt as if I kept going through with it because i was waiting for something to actually happen...and then it ended. What a load of crap.

on the movies: Yeah the first one was cheesy as hell. The main two characters looked constipated and confused. The first novel was a love story and that was the main factor missing from the movie: the love. I had friends who had never read the books complain about this...How there are two teens that are suppose to be in love but they look lost...not lost in their love but lost like they don't know what the words are that they're saying...as if they're saying "I love you" but what they mean is "I have to take a s**t" because they're faces make them look so ******** CONSTIPATED! WTF people. That is not sexy. I don't care if you glitter, sweat, drool, like to take fast walks through the forest but could you please pretend like we're some what compatible and that we actually wanna know each other. I'm sorry overall the second movie was much better (minus the acting of the same two of course though) i think the director was better.
I know this may be rude, but has anyone else noticed how Kristen Stewart acts the same in EVERY movie she's ever been in...looking lost and like the victim. No matter the character. Rob is actually decent and maybe it's just her that is ruining the duo.

I'm curious to see how Bryce Dallas Howard does at being the new Victoria. I love her acting, but I've never seen her play an "evil" character before. She's always that sprite/flowery maiden character (ex The Village where she's blind and Lady In The Water...pretty sure she was the lady lol)
