Chaka didn't handle his defeat very well, but he hadn't handled his victory very well either. He had a good basic understanding of skill and honor but his ego was one thing he couldn't control as readily. After suffering some taunting from his sister and working out what had gone so wrong in his fight with her before, he was ready to try it again. And so was she. While he was eager to win against her this time, he mumbled to himself on the way to a good area to fight to remind himself it was just practice. He took his place and watched as Shisa took her, grinning.
"Ready?"

Shisa was smart enough not to let her win against her stronger brother get to her head. At least, she was smart enough not to let it show. She had been smug and had quite enjoyed making fun of him for it, but she also intended to help him figure out where he was going wrong. He had the strength, he just needed to pay a little more attention. Whether or not they admitted it, they cared about each other and enjoyed working together. If she was was going to keep working with her brother, Shisa wanted him to stop being such a useless idiot.
"Ready," she said, taking her spot opposite him and smirking, "Don't forget that I'm smarter than you are." A combination of a taunt and genuine advice, she figured he deserved it after the stupid taunting he'd done in their last fight. Then she braced herself, watching carefully.

Move: Hit!
Chaka rolled his eyes at her warning but he knew that was something he did have to keep in mind. He was larger and stronger than Shisa but she was quicker and more observant. He had to act smart and quick to get the upper hand and once he had it, he had to use his strength to keep it. Or that was the strategy he intended to test out this time, which he was well aware Shisa knew too. He thought of the first move Shisa had used against him in their fight before, a move that was good for her to use against him.. could he use it against her? Would she expect that?
"Don't worry," he muttered in response to Shisa's taunt, intending to shout it back to her. He hesitated only a second longer and then just moved, had had the first part of his plan worked out, he had to do it before she could get an idea of what he was doing. He ran forward, swiping in an effort to know her down.

Move: Miss!
Shisa was smiling at Chaka, almost able to see his mind working through the options. He had such a funny thinking face. She almost laughed at his mumble but was ready to react when he moved. She imagined something forceful, something he always tried, would be first- an effort to prove himself right before resorting to any advice she had given. So she bent down slightly and moved to the side-- only too late realizing that this was playing right into his move. Had she not been moving, his attack would not have been nearly so successful. She hit the sand as her front legs were knocked from beneath her, something she had tried on him with the knowledge she'd never be strong enough to actually pull it off but his strength, her size and the timing worked against her. Then she didn't have time to think, she had to act. She untangled her feet and was back up, aiming her teeth for Chaka's face.

Move: Hit!
Chaka was almost surprised by how easy it was to get Shisa this time, she obviously hadn't expected that. He was grinning as she scrambled to her feet and if she hadn't lunged for his face, he might not have reacted as quickly as he did. He reared back up a bit and put how his front legs to defend himself, putting his weight into pushing her away from him.
"Not fast enough!" he growled through his teeth.

Move: Miss!
Shisa didn't need to be told she wasn't acting fast enough, she realized it as soon as she caught his eye. She moved to push back against him so she wasn't shoved quite so hard, taking whatever swipe she could in the process but he had her before she could get her claws in. He used his weight to his advantage again, and he managed to knock her onto the ground again. This time she smartly put some distance between her and her brother as she got back up to her feet. She needed to reorganize what she was doing here.
"See how much better you do when you use your head?" she said, smirking. She was somewhere between trying to take credit for it and refusing to let herself belief it was dumb luck. She couldn't try to help him learn if she wasn't willing to learn herself.

Move: Bide!
Chaka shuddered as he almost moved in to continue attacking but stopped himself. He didn't immediately realize she was moving herself away and stumbled as he tried to consider the options. She hadn't been successful her first try but her second try might have been, and before he could think of something to do himself, she was backed away and on her feet. His mind just didn't seem to work fast enough, not when he was told to think through every little thing he did, anyway.
"You can't take all the credit," he shot back, grinning. He only was able to see that she was trying to take credit for his success so far since she was the one who told him to be more thoughtful, he wasn't going to let her do that. So far he'd only really done what he thought she would expect the least and then acted on instinct as something came flying at his face.

Move: Bide!
"Merely an observation," she lied with a small smile on her face. She took a second to shake the sand from her fur, a minor irritation she was trying to prevent becoming a distraction. Besides, he hadn't attacked again yet. She didn't like standing still like this, though. Her heart raced from the excitement of the fight, even with her poor luck so far, and her tail swayed back and forth behind her. She started moving again, not toward him but around him.
"So," she said, challenging him, "What's going to happen now? What am I going to do next?"

Move: Bide!
When Shisa began to circle him, he began to move along with her- switching direction after a couple seconds to exert his own control over the situation, to force her to move or run into him. His eyes narrowed at her as she questioned him, trying to think of the answer.
"Taunt me, apparently," he said first, though his mind was still working on what her options might be. She wasn't as strong as him but she wasn't weak, all she needed to do was surprise him. He could guess that much, but how was not something he could say.

Taunt me, apparently .. it wasn't wrong, but it wasn't the entire truth, either. This was practice but it wasn't a fake duel, either. She didn't come here to let him win, he still had to earn it. He had to think about what he knew about her fighting style as she thought about his. She knew he was trying to think but he was also trying a little too hard, he was overdoing it. Asking him what would happen next was a distraction. While he was worrying about what she might do next, she sprang forward, aiming for his face yet again- this time with both tooth and claw.

Move: Bide!
Shisa caught him in the face this time, his reaction not nearly as fast and his movement not as lucky. He straightened up and went to move back, positioning himself just right for getting an eyeful of claws as teeth got a hold on to the edge of his ear and a mouthful of mane. It wasn't enough to keep a hold onto but it was enough to stun him, sending him stumbling backwards. It seemed his eyes were a popular target and the stinging around his eyes this time told him something may have actually happened this time. He growled furiously, rubbing his face against a leg absently.

Shisa realized she had caught him in the eyes and, combined with the poor hold she had on him, she decided it best to push herself off. She watched as he reacted only to the attack, not yet attacking again- but it was evident he was angry now. She only had this one chance to keep the upper paw now, if she lost it she would lose the fight. He wasn't likely to give up just because of that so she wasn't going to give up, either.
"Come on," she warned, shifting her weight and then lunging for him. If she could knock him down now, there was a chance she might win this duel as she had before-- but she had to get it now.

Total: 12-8, Chaka wins!
Even before Shisa called out to him, he realized she was still moving and how distracted he had let himself become. Just because it was his sister and it wasn't a life-or-death fight didn't mean he could afford to be this stupid. He looked up just in time to see what she was aiming to do, springing forward just in time to get out of the way. He twisted around quickly and caught a hold of her backside, pulling her down onto the sand. It took some minor shuffling but he had her held down.
"Gotcha," he said, smirking and mimicking her when she had declared victory before, "I win."

Shisa yelped when she was caught, twisting around to keep trying but it was just wasn't going to happen. She missed her chance and he had really won this time. She looked up at him, noting the red in his eye but also that he looked just fine otherwise. She nodded.
"OK, you win," she agreed, pushing herself back up to her feet once she was freed.
Fin.
