When I die I want it to be inconvinant like...I die in a doorway that is too small for me to through and Im stuck and rigimortis sets in early and they cant move me and its the only way in and out of that room or building or...randomly burst into flame on the cross town bus! something similar to that

Plastic surgery will get there sooner. It wouldn't be the same and it'd be ...well, I don't know how it would be. To me, it would seem hollow and give a sort of empty feeling.

More likely than not, genetic engineering will first be used to prevent certain diseases, as very simplistic screening can do now. Very shortly after, extending human life and then superficial things will come later like colors, and eventually the size of certain...parts. It would be a while before simplistic superficial improvements pulled out of animals become available...and even then, it's not really "animal DNA sequences" as much as DNA sequences. Eyes as good as eagles can be easily gotten out of eagles, but the possibilities for "better" or even better fitted towards humans can only be done through artificial means.
And on top of all that, this will likely only be available to the richest of people in the world. It could literally place a genetic divide between the rich and poor making the rich another species of human.

But all this is pure speculation. Maybe things will go differently... Other ideas like exponential technological growth may hold true and make these changes happen so fast that the trickle down of technology would make these things insignificant. I don't know really.

Personally, I would like to live a long happy life and die painlessly in my sleep. Then I want to hang around as a ghost so I can watch the world go by and see how things change... Or at least watch TV. Probably not how it works, but I'd be much more comforted with my mortality if there was an afterlife of some kind.

My post isn't intelligent! gonk I'm just speculating based on a mish-mash of things I read for school and Sci-Fi stuff. xp
